What I did on my spring break(Moab '07 ride report)

Hey there guys,

I've got the first part of the ride report done. I'm not quite sure when I'll get this finished, as I'm still trying to catch up, but I'm finishing the days as time permits. I will post here to let you know when another day is up.

Also, as I say every time I do a ride report, this is not to be taken as a representation of the riding during our meets, but more as a representation of the fun we have. I'd stick to the parking lot if the guys would let me, but I can assure you that I'm never where the doozy riders can be found, and if I am, something has gone terribly wrong. These writeups simply exist to let the guys who didn't make it know how much fun it is in hopes that they may decide to make it next time.

I can't thank all the guys enough that made this possible for me. It was something I'll remember forever, and meeting everyone was something that I appreciate more than you guys can imagine.

Without any further adieu, all of the sordid details.

thanks,

Great write-up there schwim! Looking forward to the rest... I lived in Atlanta so I've been in the I-85/I-75 parking lot during rush hour while trying to make it to the airport... Try the I-285 loop next time...

come on hurry up already, I can't wait for the description of our next day adventures. I for one was really impressed with my own abillities the next day. :D

Day one is up, such as it is.

I'm still awfully tired, and when I proof read it, I find myself wandering off, so if it's incoherent, just read every other word.

thanks,

Hey there guys,

Day 3. And with that, I wrap up the funny stuff. I'll write up a conclusion starting tonight, but it's going to be sappy and pathetic, so those not inclined to read it, you can rest easy knowing that this is all I'll subject you to.

thanks,

The anticlimactic conclusion.

Thanks guys for all your kind words, and I'm glad that those of you who liked it, did. It didn't turn out like I thought it would, but it is what it is.

Bro, you're number one! :fist:

thanks,

the man tells the story well, could be a very rich novelist with his sense of humor and way with words.
i for one, am proud to call him my friend.
i would like to say that this gathering (it was so much more than a ride) was made special by being able to hang out with some very good people. (you know who you are). thanks to all who were there who allowed this old curmudgeon to be part of husaworld.

lol, the dreaded irrigation pipe. i have ridden over that with Hokie from ktmtalk (he crashed), and then i took lizard killer over it in the fall i think. she crashed too. i've always just crossed it way over by the edge of the trail where the bike can only slide a few inches before hitting the bank of the wash. maybe it needs a warning sign.
