:D If aluminium radiator guards are,nt enough, how about blue anodized?

BOSS

What about you skid plates and did you talk to Clarke about the big tank?

wake up and get back to work.

Fry

i'll butt in here fryguy and say that clarke said they're not remotely interested in making a berg tank. there are so many new 4T models coming out from the big 5 that they can't keep up.

making a berg tank is the equivelant of time out.

if you search it you'll find i quoted his reply and it's from 6 months ago.

regards

Taffy

I've been doing a search for exhaust guards, but I can't seem to find 'em on the site. Sooo, I thought I'd dredge up this old post and call on da Boss to make some guards for the exhaust. I keep burning stuff (gloves, pants, bare hands, etc.) on both the headers and the mid-pipe just behind the headers, as well as the rear of the mid-pipe just before the silencer.

I've seen stuff on Euro eBay, but not in some time. It seems like I also once saw a site that made some "generic" guards that might work, but I wouldn't get any cool "Boss" stickers with those.

So, what say you? If I don't get what I want, I may just go out and make some of my own out of Carbon Fiber and Kevlar.

How about a skid plate that attaches to the front motor mount bolts and only has the hooks for the rear mounts. That way you can swing it out of the way during oil changes but it goes on and off easy. It also has to have good protection for water pump and side cases. Oh yea maybe a boss logo on the front and it comes with foam.

Pipe guards are goo too.

While I am wishing, a bigger tank even if clark wont build it there must be someplace that can do injection molding and wont the same tank fit from 2001 to present. Thats 6 years of bikes all models that Husaberg makes. World wide that has to be a few thousand bikes.

Oh and have it all ready when I come up for your ride this fall. shoot I'll even let you put it on my bike for me when I get there :D

Pipe guards and a skid plate that protects the exposed lines.

The bikes seem to be perfect otherwise.

A nice aluminum under the seat battery box that will hold either a YTZ7S or a YTZ10S.

Yes it does. I highly recommend the Boss skidplate!

Now...how about some exhaust shields???

i just unbolt the single rear bolt on the boss skidplate and it flexes down, then i put some tinfoil over it if i feel like it, then i drain the oil out. no muss, no fuss.

a bigger tank is really the only important accessory tho. for now, i got a 1/2 gallon gatorade bottle that pushes my range out to 90-ish miles of trailriding.

I'd go for the shield right in front of the can....as well....

A neat coolant recovery tank that would bolt on in a Sano place with an appropriate radiator cap.
