what are u guys craving?

I'm workin on em BOSS(exhuast guards)

I have a set on my new 06 that i made but they only cover about 3" befor the can and 3" after the header goes to round. Boss has a set and i am willing to make more, but i will be making new longer ones soon. he has asked me to make a few up to see what you all think. ya never knwo this could become regular thing for me. They are and will be made of SS type 308 or 316. Simple install(hose clamp) and easily cleanable. they will come in a rough number 4 finish look(looks like a counter top only not as smooth)

what would be a fare ball park price? what are you guys lookin for, let me know so i can try and stay under that.

The one on the front part of the exhaust is what I want. I don't know on price, but I know what a set of britches cost to replace after a hole is melted in the side of them.

Price one out and I may be your first customer.

Is the 550 exhaust the same o.d. as the 450?

Yes, looking at the parts book they are same 450-650.

That shield has been around for a while. I honestly have no idea how you could burn your pants back there. I guess that one would protect plastic on your boot from melting, but I am interested in a front heat shield myself. Thanks anyway.

Where did i get that bike, huh.... well. there is this really sweet delership in SE portland that just gives em away, provides great warrenties and has one HELL of a mechanic. You should check em out some time. :D

I'm really busy right this moment, getting ready for a trip to EFR for 5 days over memorial day. and the tee-pee run the next. i promiss that i will work on them and get them as cheap as i can to you.

i have to work on the computer layout with my brother(he is the comp nerd) if he can get them layed out for me i can burn them out on the plasma table and save a bunch of time/($). so it will be a couple of weeks. sorry.

What happened to the exhaust guards?

Any update on this, Mr. Tinbanger? I'd sure like you to bang out a set of these for me. :D

RE: Re: what are u guys craving?

I wonder if that carbon front disc guard on that site made for KTM would fit a berg?

I think late model 'bergs and KTMs have the same front brake setup, don't they?? If so, it should work. OTOH, you would think they would list it for the Husabergs also. Send 'em an email and ask...please let us know.

My '06 Fe550 to arrive from the other side of the country !!

Sold the '00 KTM 520 EXC 2 weeks ago & got withdrawl symptoms....bad, really bad. So bad that I am thinking of taking the sons YZ85 for a blat just for a fix...must wait til dark so no-one sees..

hahaha...mind if i bring my honda cl70 over wildman.....don't want anyone to see me either..........

Exhaust guards, especially header area.
I found this (PHE4R THE SHORTENED LINK). I'll report back after I get it.
I just got the header shield shown in the link, but there was good news and bad news.

The good news is that it's a fine piece of carbon fiber work, and the mounting setup looks clean and sturdy too. The bad news is that it's for only the '03-'04 models. :( Geez, do I feel dumb, because it shows that right on the website. Bad news part 2 is that they don't make a comparable piece for the '05 + models.

So, Good news part 2...if you have an '03 or '04 model Husaberg, and would like a very nice carbon fiber header heat shield, make me an offer. I paid about 50 euros for it including shipping, which is probably about $60. Make me an offer...doggonit.
