:D This is a very good morning!!

Setting up a factory 496 wec bike for jimmy lewis.

Man is he lucky, you tell me pictures coming later stay tuned!

Ah ha, ancient Chinese secret, we tell you we then have to kill you!!!

Barry, the 496 is a 550 with an 03 501 piston and sleeve. The 550 stroke is .6 mm shorter than the 501 hense the 496.

cheers

Bjorne Carlsson took his 496 to 3rd in the e3 class in day 1 of Portugal. Bjorne seems to have found his groove again.

how long you going to have it there? I'm half tempted to spend the $100+ in gas just to come down and see it!

OK, so why the 496?? What are the advantages?
For those that love the Hbg handling, but want something less revvy than the 450 and a bit softer than the 550, the 496 sets right in the middle. You get the basic characteristics of the 550, but a little softer everywhere, less likelyhood of stalling at low rpm, but the lighter piston will be more likely to rev up w/o shaking. Viola, the perfect enduro motor!

Check it out.....

Neat bike, too bad that isn't what sits on HSBG showroom floors :(

I could get excited about that :p

Correct me if I am wrong but, as it stands now one would need to buy the 550 and then the parts to convert? No free exchange at time of purchase I guess (as an option) or something like this?

That bike looks sweet Rick! The fact that Jimmy Lewis is gonna spend some time on it could mean yet more great Husaberg exposure from the editor of Dirt Rider magazine! I'm thinking since it is a WEC bike, he'll be racing it?

I might have to drop by and drool a bit while it's still in town! :D

OK, I think every berg owner is going bananas right now. I for one am stoked with my berg, except for the horse wide tank and too far forward pegs....everything else is tops!! Ive ridden ktm's and the rest back to back and berg rules.

Boss do you have info on peg location? stock? The seat is clearly taller, how much taller? and the tank!! who makes it and where do I get it!!!

I'd be interested to ride the 496, ive come from 2t and don't find the 450 too revy??

Steve

Check out this link from the force parts catalog, the pegs are titanium, and available from your dealer. You can tilt the pegs fore and aft after you drop or raise from the stk position. I'll show some pics when I finish 'worc' ing on my bike with a pile of accessories installed.

I am sure it is the Omero Moto tank. Brett (Supermototeam) had asked previously if anyone wanted to purchase one as he was placing an order and now we know why.

Sounds to me like you had better troll it around to get the Force members whipped up into a frenzy. :!: :D That guy in charge of marketing is a sly one!
