WEC 2010 - France in September - Any Advice

Hi There,

I have a non-mechanical query to add a different perspective to the forum.

As a family we are visiting the UK and Europe from New Zealand for a few weeks in September/October 2010.

As it happens, there is the final round of the World Enduro Championship (WEC) in Noiretable, France on September 25 and 26, which my son (11) and I would like to go to.

Before we try and arrange flights, accomodation and then work out how we get around, I thought I would throw it out there for any advice on travel/accomodation or knowledge of any package tours/group travel out of London or Paris to this round of the WEC.

If anyone attended this same round in 2007 or are going this year, I would value any advice.

Thank you.

Cheers, Tony P.

Hi there,

Just popping this post back up again in case there is someone out there that did not see it initially and has a cunning plan (?) they can share.

Thank you.

not aware of anyone that does tours etc unlike the moto gp or mx gp events.

your best bet may be to look at either getting the train all the way down through france to where ever it is or just across to france and booking a hotel and hire car locally

id do the hotel qucik though as all the hotels near to the event will be full if they arent already

Second that, cheap flight to the nearest french airport then a hire car to get you between your accom and the event.

Try EasyJet or FlyBe for the flights and Google local car hire to which ever airport you choose.

Avoid the links to car hire from the airlines as these are normally a lot more expensive.

Good luck,

Carl
