i have changed jobs recently and i can't believe it anymore when i come home from work 12 hours later and find a thread i answered 12 hours before is only about 4 or 5 posts down! unbelievable!!!

all these members and yet we're producing less traffic than ever!

Don't you remember, we're filtering all the "jibberish" now and saving it for TT. :D

Taff

I wondered the same question the other day, and realized that for the last 2 years, this same question is asked at this time of year. The most common answer and my reason for not spending as much time on the site, is simple, not enough time. Its riding season, so we spend our free time now riding and when winter comes back, we'll go back to our little world on the internet.

hope all is well

I think you got it right Lee....it's just that time of year. Cutting down on all of the drama has slowed things down abit as well. I will take slow over all of the B.S. anyday.

Plus ...
As the archives get bigger - most of the questions will have been answered already, or in be in 'the doc'

Ady

What is there to say? The bikes work well out of the box. No jetting issues, no suspension woes, no durability issues, no bling required. Sorry dude, but 'bergs are so good they are boring!

Perhaps for UHE.

Personally, I receive more technical phone calls and personal Email per day than ever before. :?

I always encourage posting queries directly to UHE so all may benefit, however, many seem reluctant to do so.

PM has been on the rise as well.

i can hear all the old members "CHEERING YOU TO THE ECHO" berger!

if i remember rightly, it's the winter time that the site slows down and not the summer.

Don't you know, that whenever or wherever freedom of speech is forcibly supressed, people will resort to whispering in small groups (e-mails, PM's, etc). They're likely worried about being censored or censured as a result of an unpopular opinion. We shouldn't confuse peace with bliss.nor security with freedom. Just my opinion. DC P.S. Members who benefit economically as a result of their involvment with this site will never complain about it. :?:

Hi Corey,
Benefit Economically? Husaberg? LOL

Careful my brother while running vehicles indoors as Carbon Monoxide poisoning sneaks up on you.

Their are not enough Husaberg motorcycles on the planet to warrant the mass production of anything that would actually generate a profit on par with minimum wage.

The enquiries I receive are 99.9% technical questions. Minus a pay per question installation as once suggested by a BMG employee whom we all know and love how does one make a profit from such?

Dale

PS
My UHE banner ad burns up roughly three hours a day in PM, Email and phone calls. Since I am not a dealer said ad most often costs me money. Make a profit, Husaberg? OK. LOL

Pass the bong please.

Dale,

Hmmm don't lawyers collect for every phone call? or initial consults (not that you should charge ME  when I ask a question or PM you (thanks BTW) but just set it up like the tech help lines for computers, just pretend like you are a recording, throw a few verbal beeps in and ask for credit card numbers everytime someone calls.

i called legendary 2-smoke tuner stan stephens up and his wife said he would answer my queries if i called another number. it was an 08..... number and basically he was earning whilst chatting.... i didn't mind too much, i was after all getting a brain dump so....

!

Why are posts down? I think the "Holier than thou" condesending attitude from a lot of the people( including the originator of this thread) has something to do with it. A little tact goes a long way, and a little patience with the newbies would help. I've stopped posting because I felt I didn't have anything to add. Too many people respond with crap and alienate people. I still welcome interaction and conversation with mebers of this site, I'm just tired of the crap you get from the "ELITE"!

Let's see......

I consider myself Husaberg Elite. Hell, I consider myself part of the motorcycle Elite.

Elite by definition:
The best or most skilled members of a group.

Is that bad?

nobody is perfect by the time you get to 99% you're either conceited or arrogant!

console yourself, like me, in continually tring to raise the mechanical plimsoll line above the level marked 'mud'. wwe don't always get there but it beats talking about gearing!

i still consider this site to be worth fighting over to keep in good shape. if that reflects as something else it's a shame.

anyway, time to go to church all you believers!

Correct indeed!
However, big difference in conceit and confidence.

Would you prefer an insecure heart surgeon or one with confidence?

Personally, I claim not to know it all only that I am tenacious enough to eventually figure it out . :)

Sir Henry Royce say's it best:
"Strive for perfection in everything.
Take the best that exists and make it better. If it does not exist, create
it. Accept nothing as nearly right or good enough."

Best Regards,
Dale with a capital "D"

PS
I love a good debate providing such does not spiral into character assault.
Well, even then I like it, however, such is not suited for a public forum.

How correct is this quote !! I haven't been on the UHE site for ages, mainly because the 2005 FE550 has been so reliable (touch wood) and I have in the past used UHE as my first port of call when things have gone pear shape with the bergs.
