that is a good article, I can see that on a 200bhp fast track bike that is all relevant. However, for me(us), I already knew my front end is too high and wheelbase too long, I want to adjust my rake to make the bike turn faster and not push the front through the dirt, If I do this without adjusting triple clamp offset I will end up with no trail. There is other options, adjustable front axle positions etc + clamps is the best but very $$$.. dont' forget we are taking a frame that was designed for a very different job and patching it to make it go quick on tar and go sideways, a street bike was designed in a very different way and will be pretty close from stock.
We are getting clamps made up that will use stock stem and have adjustable inserts, 2 inserts will give you 4 settings, I'll be able to play with it.
computrac was also great for telling me that my rear wheel was 2deg out of line front to back as the swingarm isn't square. I now know how much offset in the slots I need to use when setting the axle to get the rear wheel straight in the bike. this will prob make the biggest difference to stability.
