Tools for fe 450 engine rebuild

Hi,
Can engine rebuild of a 2009 fe 450 be done without special tools? Service manual says a few ktm/husa spesific extractors and such are needed.

Most likley. If one look in the workshopmanual one need a whole lot of special tools but in my experiance one can almost always make something upp, use something simmilar, or in worst case build your own tool.
Is it a large rebuild you´r planning to do? Something broke?

Thanks. Got the job done, already finished the full 90h rebuild, plus also changed both main axle bearings. Had to use some creativity at some points and get on with general tools. Only conrod was changed in a shop. Learned a lot, it was a rewarding process, quite nerve cracking to start the engine after rebuild.

I did my 450 2010 and all I needed other than usual tools was the flywheel puller.
