Has anyone fitted a canister/tool tube to there bike?

I was thinking of getting one and mounting on the side under the plastics opposite the exhaust and using it to store some emergency fuel in a fuel bottle.

If you don't know what a tool tube is have a look here ToolTube

Agri supply sell the same ones for 4.99 us. Bought 2 and had them shipped for under 20$ total. I have installed one onto my fe390 just as you suggested. Works a treat. Two marine grade stainless screws, 4 washers, two nuts. Solid and a great place for a tool kit etc.

Thanks Whosaberg.

Any chance of some pictures? especially of the fitting.

Thanks

Yup, I'd like to see that, too!
And if you could provide a link to that tool tube on Agri Supply, that would be real helpful too.
Thanks!

I added a tool tube to my bike when I got it in 2011, works a treat! However, I used 2 stainless hose clamps so the mounting nuts or screws wouldn't be inside the tube. I can then fit a small gas can in for those longer rides. Otherwise I fit a tool roll in.

Hasn't moved or shifted in almost 200 hours and it looks like I have dual exhaust :)

I don't see the danger in posting a photo here. I've done it many times with no ill effects to my health, *** life, or computer.
