TM Motorcycles

tds2277

I currently ride a TM250E and can say the bike is rock solid, WAY FAST and handles awesome. It takes a ton of searching to find any reviews and the tests or reviews. The reviews you will find are from Australia, England, Etc.
Check out www.dirtbikeworld.net/reviews/tm_enduro the review will be an year or two old if I remember right. I have a kart racing background and raced with TM motors they were always fast and held up GREAT!

I will buy another TM!!!!!!!

Good luck

Bit more of a general question about 2T - Hope this is still on topic.

So TM have a good rep for 2 strokes ?? Been thinking about getting a 2T but 4T riders reckon that I won't be able to get up hills. They said they will organise a shove, fuel truck and tow rope for me if I get a 2T - supposedly for excessive wheel spin on the hills. high fuel consumption and a burnt out clutch etc !! I am not having much success on the 600 up hills at the moment and I am not ready to ride a 450 4T based on the limited rides I have had. I like the snap of the 600 - maybe because I still love peaky 2 strokes :)

As I understand the Tm 2 Strokes are basically bulletproof , but man if your not getting up the Hill on a 600 Perhaps you should try to find someone that has a 450 4T in Either a HUSABERG or a TM just a suggestion, Husabergs have Tourqe from Hell, and i know that will catapolt you right up and over the hills you are needing to get over, but again try to put some feelers out there and see if there is someone that will let you ride a 450 so you can make a sound descision in your purchase.

RE: tm

It is not a lack of torque but a excessive wheel spin and maybe some front wheel problems - deviaition into ruts etc.

I climbed plenty of HUGE hills last weekend on my TM250E (2T). A group that consisted of 5 riders 1-KTM 300, 1-KTM 450EXC, 2-Yamaha YZ450f's. The person on the EXC was very competitive as am I and he was putting the TM down but at the end of the day he ATE 90% more roost from my rear tire then I tasted from his. I don't have much time on a 4t but if you can ride the 2t will get you to the top and over. I will say that I do not hesitate to use the clutch to control wheelies, wheel spin or to get in the power-band.

We haven't had any TM's imported for awhile over here. I wanted to get a 125 for my son but settled for a YZ125 :(
