Throttle Potentiometer

Does anyone know what effect leaving the throttle pot disconected would have,would it make the bike less aggressive or bog down has anyone tried.

Hi Darren,
Here is my reply regarding and earlier thread:

"Pay attention experts and you may learn something. Light load high rpm provides excessive advance.

How much is too much you ask? Such depends on many variables including jetting. However, 50 degrees plus is possible under certain conditions .

Simply disconnect the three wire TPS. Mileage will decrease, however, manners most often improve"

Dale thanks for the reply my idea is to wire the signal wire to a switch on the handle bars to interupt the signal and lessen the amount of advance in slippy conditions and hopefully give more useable power when needed do you think this might be an avenue to go down.

Hi Dollars,
Been there, done that and in the end opted to negate the TPS.
However, fuel economy was not high on the priority list. :)

Yes, such will do fine.
