The UHE window stickers are HERE!

Here is the deal, I can only produce single color stickers as the vinyl sheets are only one color. to get another color such as a blue Husaberg on the bike i would have to remove the yellow sticker and lay it over some blue vinyl or make a blue Husaberg sticker and lay it on top of the bike. the latter would look better. i am not opposed to doing it but it does take time and is not always successful. I have no problem sending the main sticker and the little blue husaberg out at the same time and letting the buyer apply them. I will do one up and show you what it looks like.

on the wheel detail. every little cut out has to be removed before i put the transfer tape on. so all the little holes and such would be very time consuming. i can do a solid rotor and then empty space within the wheel and then the tire.. no spokes no chain detail etc.

when i thought of doing this i was just going to give json a bunch to sell. and make more as he needs them. I don't know what the rules are regarding copyright and such since i did use the photo from Husaberg to creat the bike. so i don't know if dan would be willing to sell them. IF HE IS, well then that would be great. infact i was going to send him a few to throw into some orders that UHE members have made from him just for fun...

if any body else has any ideas let me know....

BTW I can also do orange for you KTM guys but that is as domestic as i will get... well for a price anyway..... :p

PS the bike is unmistakably a berg I went through the trouble od making sure i had the little trianagle hollow space under the seat for the purpose...

I'm not sure if the file you use for this needs to be in "curves"
Usually with vinyl cutting, the cutter uses a curve line to follow.
If needed I can do one up in a vector format if anyone wants.

to be honest with you kelsow, I really do not know. all i know is i need to save whatever image I make in photoshop as .bmp and then the cutting software imports and converts it. I am sure that there are more sophisticated programs out there that will do lots of things and i have not discovered them yet. but then again this is just for fun... i do know that i can use vector based graphics.

the cutter will cut just about any thing i convert to a .bmp. the issue is the detail.. if there is to much then it juts does not work well and the stickers look bad. that is why if i do an image of, say a bike, i can only basicallly use the outline of the image. if there are different colors or other things going on the cutter lookat it as items that need to be cut.

oh and FYI the more detailed it is the more expensive it gets....

this not to generate income/profit for me just help the site and make up for the costs involved. but if i have to spend 30 minutes with ever sticker picking out all the little bits and pieces... welll... I will have to consult with Json about what he thinks we should charge.

Here is one as an eps or curves.
link

The black would be the vinyl colour, the white is clear.
The blue dots are the cut lines (which wouldn't show)

Let me know if this ads to your irritation level.

Hi risky,

This is just the one that sandskipper posted, but minus spokes, rotor holes, and all the other stuff that would give you problems. If you need it done to another image, just let me know.

DIdn't know if this would be helpful to you or not.

thanks,
json

i will run a test sticker tonight.

so for those that have an opinion is this okay?

risky1, what are you using for a vinyl cutter?
Do you have any info on it?

a roland sx-8 it's not for super high volume but it will make plenty.....just need to change the blade a bit more frequently.

my only concern is the small husaberg lettering on the bike. when the sticker gets to small it is very difficult to get the detail. we'll see......

Ii am thinking the sticker will need to be 5" x 8" or 6"x9" to get the detail.

I like this one even better as blue is my favorite color. I would just take some number plate backing and put it on the window to make the blue stand out, or on second thought, if I use yellow number plate backing the Husaberg will come through on the tank right?

Looks great! Thanks for al your effort!!

well the sticker worked. it is 6x9 any samller and the "husaberg" on the tank would be kind of pointless. i know it does not look like it but the vinyl is blue... it is the only blue i have right now but i can get a closer husa blue.... and i can make them in any color people want, blue yellow, black, silver, white, etc...

so json can we have a front page poll? is this the official decal of the UHE?

Risky1-

When you start making these stickers i would like to put dibs on a few.... 2 yellow, 2 blue. Looks nice though, keep us updated on availability and such.

Regards,

Risky 1,

The stickers look great! You can sign me for a few of them as well. Just let us know how much and where to send payment to.

Thanks,
Mike

I need some input. I attempted to make smaller versions (4x7 and smaller) and the husaberg cut out on the tank did not work so well... the lettering effectivly become less than 1/8 inch. the outline of the bike still looked good with the wheels and such cut out.

soo.... do people want a smaller version along with the 6x9 size

also do people want some of just the bike outline, or some that just say www.husaberg.org etc.

Oh Ya, I al most forgot, for you supermoto guys i will do the same sticker but with the outline of the fs650.

those of you that ar'nt liking it according to the poll, I really would like to hear what you think would be a good sticker if you want one at all. there is no harm, no foul. I just want to know.

I voted yes in the pole......6 x 9 would be fine. Thanks for all your work...Let us know how and when we can get some.....Keith
