MY DEALER IS A SHERCO DEALER (AS FROM 2004) AND HE IS ABOUT TO BECOME A HUSKY DEALER. I NEEDN'T TELL YOU WHICH WAY THIS IS GOING FOR HIM. USE YER BRAINS!

HE SAYS THAT HUSEY ARE LOSING DEALERS, THEY'RE LOSING CUSTOMERS. THAT THE BUILD QUALITY IN AUSTRIA IS AWFUL. THE 450'S ARE KNOCKING OUT MAINS AND IGNITION UNITS. THE KOKUSAN BIT IS OK BUT THE UNIT (UNDER THE SEAT?) PACKS UP.

THE IMPORTER IS LOOKING AFTER HIS OWN CUSTOMERS, SHAGGING EVERYONE ELSES, THEY CAN'T GET PAID FOR WARRANTY WORK, BITS ETC.

I'VE HAD THE FOLLOWING ON ORDER FOR 4 MONTHS;
'04 SWINGARM PIVOT PIN
'04 CROWN NUT
CLUTCH SCREW ALLOY SHOULDER
RUBBER STRAP FOR HEADLAMP

THE UK IS HUSABERGS BIGGEST MARKET AND IT'S GOING **** UP.

we need a new importer but things look so good at Mattighofen that they couldn't give a toss. the swedes made a better product and with more pride in the unit.

my mate chris has had two ignitions and says next time the bike goes. the dealer is footing the bill so that the customer isn't left in the s***. the dealer fronts up, the importer doesn't.

I ASK ANYONE WHO CAN DEFEND THAT IDIOT TO TELL ME HOW MANY PEOPLE WORK FULL TIME AT HIS 'IMPORTERS' AND HIS OWN SHOP COMBINED?

Taffy

If this is the way things are going Husaberg will dwindle and fail in the UK service quality is important here and people will only put up so long. The more I hear stories like this over here the more I am considering selling my Berg and getting something possibly not as exclusive or quite as grunty but at least if it ***** up I can get it fixed. Do you think the factory looks into this site at any time if so can we petition them from here as we must have the backing of a large part of the Husaberg community. There are dealers who are helpful but if they don't get the backing from the importer / factory it will never work.

Disapointed Again Mitch...........

Bought my 'berg from DCR 2 and a bit months ago. There were one or 2 bits missing and the battery went flat immediatly. The missing bits were ordered the day after I collected the bike and a new battery was promised. The small bits took a month to arrive and I am still waiting for the battery. I have phoned and chased 5 times and last time spoke to DC himself who told me that he was packing it as we spoke and would send it that night, 3 weeks later I'm still waiting.

The UK may be Husabergs best market but I'm sure that that is despite the importer not because of him.

the dealers are probably the only voices i believe that they will listen too. the problem for the factory is getting to the truth in any two-way argument. but having said that, they do rely on the natives not causing hassle and getting restless!

we could cause a lot more damage by contacting TBM (magazine) or TMX (the weekly dirt comic) - especially in large numbers. but it's not damage we want, it's change!

last time we had a thread that had a go at the importer a psychotic fruitcake jumped in and ruined what i hope can still be a balanced argument.

balanced completely against him!

i repeat though, where is the parts system, where are the vast numbers of staff needed to run a dealership, a race team, warranty, an importership.

two blokes!!!!!! that's how many the last i heard!

depending on how many people step forward and say 'that's it!' we can have a look then. we have rights but we don't have the right to change the importer. we do have the right to ask for major changes.

we now have one or two e-mail addresses at the factory.

As usual - especially on this subject - i agree totally with Taffy. And as for BarryP, we have all heard that old gem "i'm looking at it right now"! I'm travelling in Canada at the moment and on my way back to the Airport in Calgary there is a dealer who has all the parts i need for my bike when i get back - i have a race 4 weeks after i get back so guess where i'm getting the parts! Bear in mind that almost all of the dirt bike riders and motocross racers that i've spoken to in the last 5 months here have never even heard of Husaberg, and this guy has all the top end parts on the shelf for a '97 bike! Good job AE mc's in Brooks. Jared

Will motoexotica ship to the U.K.?Parts here in the US
seem to be easier to get than closer to where the bikes
are made.It doesn't make sense.

Motoxotica

Dan has sent a piston kit to me in the UK, so yes he will ship here.
