I was just looking at one of these at my local MC parts store. They were selling them for around $24.00 or so. I thought it'd be a good way to go, especially for my '96 w/ the long tank on one side and the exhaust on the other, no good way to get to a fuel screw. That'd work much better, IMO.

There's a guy on ebay that lives about 20 miles from me that's always selling FCR's on ebay; I think his ebay name is jenny200318 or something like that. They typically go for $350.00 or so, but I bought mine from him at ~275.00 since I paid in person.

If you look at this ebay listing, notice to the left side of the photo is a box of FCR's.

but i don't get the used values of these?

for a start there's nobody private selling them used? normally a few of those around would start to knock the stuffing out of the market?

i remember seeing a thread in the YZ section of thumpertalk.com and they were asking forr the cheapest source of keihin FCRs and it turned out to be £373 but you got no choke from some honda dealer!

as i say, can't grasp why they remain sooooo high.

I've thought the same thing, but I guess that's the going rate. I've watched a few ebay auctions that are not listed as "Buy it Now", and even then they'll get up in the mid to high $200's; I guess that's the going rate.

The guy that I bought mine from is not store or shop, just some guy... I'd like to buy another so I don't have to swap mine from bike to bike. I've found places like www.motorcyclecarbs.com that sell new FCR - MX (39mm) that are around $100.00 more than what the used FCR's are going for.

i have the r-d flexi fuel screw on my 06 450. installed easy with the carb out and works like a champ. the bracket that was included didnt work very well on the berg so one had to be fabbed out of aluminum. other than that its a great product and does just what its supposed to do.

well rich, for once i think this could be a well-worth-while tool for the twiddler!

i would think its a must if, like me, you have a right exiting exhaust.

but i presume a downer is the yet more clutter look?

if my modded zip-ty screw falls out of my 650 again (like it did yesterday), i might invest in one. it looks like it might fit a mkI carb...no?

Ned,

I looked at one first hand (for my MK1) and it looked like it would fit the MK1 carb.
