Here is a video of few weeks ago about the smoke ...ps it won't happen when is warm or start again after few hours only when is left resting for a day

Have you seen anything like that?

Other news I delite my review on taffmaister page...the reason is because he finally state the head was damage on a call with my mechanic ...it won't be over i think ...we shall see

Wow! If the guy can't respond he obviously doesn't have a leg to stand on? I guess he is more than aware of this thread and the posts..........shows a good picture!

He respond to my call and an email (not the last one)...he Is aware of the tread..and it gave an opinion on the problem witch is good...right now I just want to stop blaming people and get this bike sorted ...I did remove the review(done my part)..but there is a lot more involve

A news I have to make it public ( ps I knew it for a while and there a few other things that I haven't made them public) but they will be in the next few months (1/2)

taffmasters advertise engine rebuild worth 1400 with ''NEW VALVES''
unfortunately he was too cheap to fit a set of new exhaust valves.

I was lucky to open the engine after 6hrs to find it out, but he could have done it for years and customers have been charged on full price

picture one show valves before he rebuild the engine and gave them to customer to prove he put new one 20170329_152515 (1).jpg

(picture 2) exhaust valve the black is way far more compact compare to the intake (picture 3) you can scrub it out with your finger on the intake but not the exhaust one

we got ----> new piston ---new intake valve ---- use exhaust valve on £1400 engine rebuild

yes ...i knew it since the valves, told you i got stories (and more to come) ... we try to fix it with ''metal paste'' but didn't work out ...do you guys have any idea apart from having the surface completely mill? its about 1mm deep the damage and the sitting is 1mm higher then the complete engine case ....is that for a reason?

1)main problem of milling is if the engine case it's not 100% flat it could cause the reed valve to sit improperly FOREVERRRRRRRRRRR

2)do you guys think that can cause smoke on start after its been left resting for 8/12 hrs ? thick oil smoke for like 2 minutes

3)that's for me ...how it can happen? i mean, let's just be realistic there is no ''hard moving parts '' you would expect that from the piston/head/valves but not on a ''gentle valve'' that sit on the engine case IMG_1355.jpg

and ps. sorry for all this question but thanks a lot if you can give me some clue :)

..That's what we think the smoke is coming from.(we metal paste it last week)..put together... started the bike Monday,Tuesday and I will check it later after work but it does still smoke on start when is left resting...uhm i don't think is working 100% ...do you suggest to mill it or try again ? Thanks a lot

Yep metal paste :p

if it doesnt work mill it and get a new reed petal

also in that case check the condition/replace the crankshaft seals

could be a lot of other things too but tis good to make a start

Now that I have seen the pictures of this full rebuild, "WTF kind of rebuild is that" I no longer question my first feelings and know that my intuition was correct from day one. Everything comes out in the wash and the clothes are now clean for sure, My big question is why, but I will never know the answer. I know that every shop I have worked takes pride in the service they give and would never take a risk on reputation. Why risk it ????

yes bush..I contact a guy from husqvarna and he saying that even the smallest gap on the reed valve will make it smoke and suggested weld and mill.. the engine will be send tomorrow to this guy to have it done (hopefully if he doesn't find anything else)

FE350 why?...because taffmeister is always right, I think he is not as good as he think he is, just in his mind ...don't get me wrong he knows more then me on husaberg this is my first and 6hrs on it so my previous experience where from honda, rmz,tm ett. you read the honda manual to check the valves is 0.16 you check husaberg and is 1/6 turn and I am like WTF is that :) ....but at the end of the day I don't do **** like this one

you put a brand new engine rebuild (piston as you see is new) ...you take the case out you can see there is something wrong or when you put together you start it -->will smoke SO HE KNEW

what piss me off is that he started the bike before i bought it so it will clear and it won't show any drama to the customer

BUT you claim to be ''HUSABERG SPECIALIST'' camon GET IT DONE

(i want to point out this one...I don't know if anyone who is reading have a business and let's face when you make a mistake like ''setting wrong the valves'' engine goes boom, ok it's ****, but we all make mistake

this is not...its dishonesty and it's far from it )

about risking reputation here the answer --->

he didn't expect i was opening the engine so soon and he thought he could get away with it, because he thinks I am just a foren 25 years old boy from Italy immigrate in Britain...people from my club, people who race (i do marshall on track sometimes) people who I race with, people who i park next to me on the paddock, people who I meet racing (before, past, future) ..they know what's going on

I gave him more times option to help or refund (that's why i deleted facebook and google) to give him a second chance---> he refused

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A CUSTOMER IF YOU BEEN DISHONEST

ps. I can go on for hrs on this one :) I understand why you started that thread about been bully by taffy...I started this one probably with the same feeling as you did :)

i know from personal experience with husaberg "specialist parts" that the concept of "refund" even on defective goods does not exist in some states of reality

of course an individuals state of mind is their priority however you have to question the sanity of using it as a business model

best of luck with the rest of it paolo hope to see video of your bike running soon !

It will be up and running at some point :) ...thanks a lot for your previous info ...I might end up with plan for it as I won't be racing or riding it this year ...video will be at some point :)

In response to Taffy's Private Message to me with answers to Why.

"the bike presumably once ran correctly yet the lad is talking about a casting fault around an oil venting hole being the fault. of course it isn't but if you read his other posts, he has blamed every other part of the bike in turn. i have tried to help him but as you can see, he wants to do everything in public.

I really can't see what winds you up so much that you have to get involved without knowing the facts. even bushie is perplexed by it yet you're certain that I'm wrong.

he hasd even had a video done with an engineer, only i can see it on youtube. the engineer just stands there and says: you need to cut this guy some slack, there is nothing wrong with the work he has done.

I don't know what is wrong with it? i don't know what he's domne to it but when it left here it was fine! why can't you just stop getting so involved/upset/angry when you don't know any of the facts other than what he has said?

why?

Taffy
"

Why cant I stop getting involved/angry/upset?

Well I am not angry at all as this in no way effects me. I am upset that a shop has mislead a younger adult to believe the engine was rebuilt and no mention to damage was noted at time of sale. I am involved as this is a public site and I have a right to my opinion about shady sales and shop work and feel the need to make note so others can be made aware.

Any reputable engine builder would not put a case back together knowing it was damaged and this is not damage that could be missed as it would be noticed during assembly of other parts such as the reed. This casting flaw as you call it does not look to me as a flaw, but prior damage. I am confused to how this case has been damaged other than something hitting/slipping during assembly but who knows. It for sure is not a manufacture flaw and that is clear to see in the picture.

My question is Why did you assemble a case that was damaged and not make note to the customer who purchased it? Why did you take advantage of this customer? Why did you not help rectify this issue with the customer? Why are you not commenting on this post if you did nothing wrong, as that is unlike you?

I feel the need for others who are unaware to know how your business is conducted and how you handle warrantee issues and how you follow up on customer service. You do use this PUBLIC site to market daily and feedback is how things work. I as the PUBLIC also use this site and am giving feedback.

It's true about the video he is a mechanic not engenear...he find out after of valves and engine case ..as you saying before (fe350) mechanic tend to stick togherther expecialy when Taffy was claiming to be a husaberg specialist ...he Is not of that opinion now ...I heard a story of Taffy

He rebuild a sidecar
Blow up in one lap
Rebuild it
Last 3 lap
Guy find out of cowboy work of taffmaister and bring him to court
He got away saying the engine was design for race bike not sidecar

Husaberg specialist in his own imagination
