Hi everybody,
long time no see, I unpacked the Berg after long time...
I remembered from the last ride somewhen in 2019 that the swingarm bearings were worn out.
Long Story short - swingarm out, axle out, bearing out, and under a thick clay crust I could find some needles... Sleeve completely rusted, seals scrapped, bearings rattling.
So I started looking for the parts. The original spacers aren't that great in my opinion, anyway, the bearings (drawn cup needle roller bearings HK2218-RS) and the sealing rings (SD 22x28x4) are standard parts and are available in good bearing shops. With the bearing sleeve/bearing inner ring it's more difficult:
* KTM - no longer available
* Neubert - nothing
* ProX swing arm bearing kit is still in the 2020 catalogue (Model 2004) but you can't order them via distributor.
They changed the swingarm to fit the KTM product line in 2005, and I guess it's not compatible with the older models, like 2002.
Does anybody know where I can find the right sleeve or bearing kits for:
Husaberg FE 5001 2002 model (bearing sleeve 22 x 16 x 50 or complete kit)
I am grateful for any good advice, I am running out of ideas...
