Hello, I havent a clue about suspension, coming from a sprrdway/grasstrack background, we dont have much, and when i rode trials, I had someone set it for me.

Im racing on sand on sun, and wondered if any of you enduro lads could tell me how to have my suspension (ie twisting the black knobs and the rear shock screw) for maximum grip, bear in mind im a cubby **** (17 stone 6"1')

please tell me how to find grip, i have a baby due in a week and dont want to be waiting for them in hospital lol

as i recall pete, you want the back end jacked right up to get the contact point of the front wheel more under the spindle. so you really need the heaviest spring you can get. a race sag at 100mm is a good start so get ready to jack that ring right in.

after that you need to pull the forks down sometime, and do the simple basics as per the doc.

PS. i've called off my practice day tommorow because i have no kickstart lever good buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taffy

PS. only joking about the calling off bit. but i'd love to have my kickstart back ppppplllleeeeaaaaassseeee!!!!!!!

in sand ahm increase trail anyway you can, lower back end or reduced offset tripples. its because the front wheel sinks in more in sand the effective contact patch moves forward so you have to try to move it back again

if you jack up the back the contact point moves forward don't it taffy ? might be whats needed depending on the sand I guess but in my sand you want to move the patch back to where it sits for hardpack

if you search Ktalk for husky510s posts he often puts up a pic showing contact patch and steering offset etc

its easy to move it just need to decide which way :)

Pro action are gonna do it all when I can afford. Was just after a quick fix.

Taffy, im on it, just had to swap engines over as the 2000 frame is a lot lighter so the other will be getting stripped and kicker sent back to you mon/tue
