Rewound stator, dual valve spring kit, dutch cog.

Put the berg back together but still no spark. Cleaned all the connections and installed additional negatives / earths from battery to frame, frame to engine and an additional earth from the frame to the rectifier.

Now it sparks.

Put it back together and kicked it about 5 times with my left leg and then about 3 with my right and she fired up. What a sweet sound it was.

I left it running for about 10 minutes to check for leaks etc, all ok apart from the exhaust manifold was running cherry red. Is this a timing issue? Never noticed this before and i haven't adjusted the carb since ive owned her.

The stator is currently installed withe the white indicator mark in the middle of stator cover window??? I have read the threads but still cant work out where the stator mark should be in reference to TDC????

I have bought a strobe but haven't tried it yet, the strobe hasn't got a timing adjustment knob from what i can work out?

Can anyone help??

10 minutes???

Hello.
You should never, never ,never let the bike idle for 10 minutes it`s not built for that, the Husaberg manual says not more than a minute if i don`t remember wrong.
They get overheated when idling so long time.
It`s built for driving and no t idling ;-)

They all get hot and red if you idle them for a couple of minutes , even my old FJ1200 does that after 1-2 minutes.
And a Yamaha Yz 450 get cherryred exhaust in 1 minute when idling.

Jampe

Thanks Jampe

That has put my mind at rest. I can put the plastics back on now then and get riding :D
