After rebuilding my fs650 the gear from fist in second was a bit sharp/rough/jittery/clunky not extreme but just enough to anoying also the shift under light load from 5 to 6 was the same. Pulled it apart to check all was ok and was sure there was a extra washer under the spring shart with small bearing on it that rides on the star(not in manual picture). I found the washer, put it under the bearing arm and now the small bearing runs on the outside of the star and roll on washer lip is this correct or should it run on the edge of the star???? any one know?
