I could not detect any wear on the needle or atomizer by eye, but I will likely replace them just to make sure. If I remember correctly, it has a K23 needle and 260FN atomizer.

I have a couple of the original magazine tests for the 94 501's, and both tests rave about there being no bog on these bikes. However, researching this site, it seems to be rather common.

After replacing everything inside the carb, and trying well over 100 different jetting combinations over the past 6 months, new fuel pump and petcock.... it ended up being a clogged vent hose on the gas cap.

New $1 vent hose and its running flawless, no bogging.

Easy to overlook the smallest thing.
