I was doing come trail riding yesterday amy rear sprocket split in half taking a chunk of the hub with it. Everything was tight, the aluminum sprocket just failed under the load.

I think I'll go steel on my next sprocket. saving a little weight just cost me $500!

It may be worth checking your chain tension method ie check the chain tension when the countershaft sprocket and the swing arm pivot and the axle are all in line.If your chain is over tight it can have the same effect on the hub.
My old 05 625 ktm cracked the hub as have a lot of others and some say its due to over tight chain.I know its not a KTM but if the factory setting is anthing like the KTM its easy to stuff up.

agree with GWP - check the chain tension by resting your chest on the seat and pulling the swingarm up towards you while flicking the chain with the other.

I have seen this on bikes that had a sprocket bolt back out and hit the swingarm. Check the inside surface of the SA- if it has a notch or divot then the bolt backed out and wiped out the hub.

The ovalated sprocket bolt holes could be the indicator.
Only time I have seen smashed hubs is from loose bolts.
Generally, in my experiance an overtight chain has wrecked wheel/ swingarm and output bearings rather than smashing a hub/ sprocket.

This actually happened to my husaberg 400 a few years back, we thought that the sprocket bolts were to tight causing stress to the hub material. This combined with a wrong aligned rear wheel ...SNAP ..just a guess thou
