Went to remove my plug from my Fe550 (2005) for the first time and a standard spark plug socket will not fit down the hole. Will a think wall socket work or do a I need special wrench?

Hi,
Some might not like my suggestion but, I eased a little off the sides of the rocker cover with a fine file, there wasn't much to be taken out, you can't see it and it fixes the problem forever.
