so I got my FCR....

it's off a 06 kxf 450 (41mm with a 175 main jet). it's shorter front to back than my delo but it looks like it will slip into the rubber manifold on the head. the boot on the other end however will come up short. i wonder if a boot off an 03 or later berg will fit? otherwise i need to make an adapter of some sort.
 
I have a FCR41mm on my 400 '03
And I dont have the airbox connected but I just put a twin air foam filter directly on the FCR.
 
i ride off road so i want the airbox.

i have the MX fcr so it has the cast in intake spigot....so i require the keihin part number 021-212. what does it look like? and what's the kawasaki o-ring for?
 
don't know much about it doug except that that little lot is what dale quoted before i put my FCR on. i was just about the first to do it after lineaweaver himself.

if you go into my gallery, you'll see a picture of a belmouth i fitted to mine.

ok i must have them in the carburation area of the doc.

you'll then need to do a search on a complete thread i did on the subject. i find the filter isn't too bad so i would still recommend it to you!

so i did a fit check and found the carb i bought off a kx 450 has a strange float bowl with an extended overflow drain that interferes with the starter. i'm not talking about a little interference, I'm talking there's no way in hell it will fit. so i need to obtain a conventional float bowl. meanwhile i found an aftermarket float bowl (http://www.sudco.com/) It allows for easy adjustment of the accelerator pump leak circuit by external thumb screw.
Also features redesigned check valve and repositioned air bleed off orifice. i think this means you can adjust the amount of juice the acclerator pump squirts. any way i was looking for part keihin 021-212 per dale but havent found it yet.
 
if its the little stub for a breather pipe i just ground mine off and it never had a problem and my rides usually involve lots of mud and wtr
 
You mean the little 'pipe' at the bottom of the carb?
I had to remove that on mine as well otherwise it did doesn't fit with the E starter
 
It may be some sort of aftermarket part that you could resell on eBay for more than the OEM part.
 
a nornal float bowl is 90 bucks. an R&D fancy float bowl with adjustable squirt is 200 bucks. here we go
