Being lacking in a long pair of 'pinns' and having smashed my 'sandcastle kickin' one in the past...
I struggle to reach the top 'click' required to kick my ***** :p
Anybody know of a shorter kickstart or any suggestions.
Please

Ady,
I'm not sure what "pinns & sandcastle" meen but I know what you're
asking. I've shortened the stroke of my kick by removing the kick start lever and replacing it on the splined shaft so it engages lower in the stroke. Having a shorter kick helps me kick thru more consistently with one fluid motion. To compensate for the shorter stroke I run an iridium
fine wire plug (IUX24) which seems to help. All this info came to me coucourtesy of Mr. Lineaweaver

Nice one Phil
I was tempted into an irridium plug anyway.
However, have you not had a problem with the kickstart not sitting in place correctly when tucked away and tending to catch your leg ?

Cheers

PS. Easy enough to try i suppose, however currently i have broken my wrist and can't do much.

Ady,
No problem at all, if your lever is not flipin out now it won't after reindexing the lever. reindexing the lever only makes it ingage lower in the stroke the lever still winds up to the top to tuck away as it should. I set mine up to ingage as high as possible while still being able to kick it in one strong motion. with the lever engaging up top my kick motion is like a backwards "C" with the lowered engagement it's more of a "J" motion.
With the "C" motion I have a bit of hitch in my kick that slows down my kick. With "J" it's now even more important you start your kick just past TDC on the compression stroke. This works for me because my "pinns"(legs) are all jacked up, so I walk like an old man and kick like a little girl.

Good luck
