Shift lever

I have been riding my 2011 Fe 570 for about 2 months now and have managed to adjust or replace most of the things that were not quite right for me. One thing I haven't been able to adjust or replace is the gear shift lever. It is too short for my size 12 MX boots and I have to lift my foot off the peg to down shift. Does anyone know who make an aftermarket shift lever for our bikes? I checked Hammerhead but they don't list anything specifically for the Bergs and I can't seem to cross reference any part numbers to see if something off one of the KTM's will fit. :?

Anyone got any suggestions or solutions?

Be careful if you raise the shift lever on the spline. If you go too far you will drive the shift lever into the chain when you up-shift.

The shifter from the new style Berg engine is the same as the KTM 2 stroke big bike shifters. Anything that fits a 250/300 KTM will fit the Berg. I have a shifter from a 250 2-stroke KTM on my bike. If you go to KTM-Parts.com and check the part number for the stock Berg shifter it is the same as the 2 stroke KTM's.

Thanks for the input. I figured one of the KTM bikes used the same shifter.

I don't think raising the shifter 1 spline would help me as I don't seem to have the dexterity to bend "up" high enough to shift. I actually tried to go down 1 spline but it hits the frame trying to down shift.

I am going to look at a larger shifter for the KTM mentioned by CrazyTed. I think that will solve my problem.

if you can't find one a good alloy welder should be able to customize the current lever, cut and shut :D
