Anyone experience with replacing the kickstarter axle from a 2003 FC 550?
Today i tried to start the FC/FE 550 of a mate and the kickstarter axle broke.
Weird experience to encounter.
Is it hard to do? Do you have to take the engine out of the frame?
It's a strange bike. It has lights and was sold to him as a FE but the frame says FC. The sidestand sits in the way of the kickstarter. When he bought it it would fire with the startermotor each time. Today it wouldn't.
So i tried to kickstart it. The short kickstart, i think a later model, kept hitting the sidestand mount. I first broke the sidestand spring. 3 kicks later the axle.
meanwhile me brother tried to work out the wiring but that's a mess too.
