Please enlighten me.

Hey The_Force,
The stock Husaberg ECU is fully programmable but you cannot connect to it to fully program it easily. It is locked somehow. I think/guess (I could be wrong) the data protocol it uses to talk is encrypted or locked so you cannot make changes.
There is a Husaberg tool you can buy that will let you make slight changes to Fuel Maps via your Laptop but the Tool is expensive and you cannot change much.
There is a fella called Tuneboy that can program a Keihn ECU easily but I am not sure when he will release a device to talk to a Keihn ECU in a Husaberg.
If you were able to make changes easily and you were after every last ounce of HP, you could go to a dyno run or track run and check Air Fuel Ratio's and Horse Power readings and make changes and check again. You could also make changes to the Timing and the Rev Limiter and Accelerator Enrichment Table and even set what point the injector fires in the cycle and change Tables for Air and Coolant variations. You could change things like how fast the Timing changes when the engine accelerates. You could just play to see if you could make it feel better than the factory has made it. The ECU feels so good now I doubt you could make it feel better.
Not sure how well the Keihn ECU Logs but with the Autronic you could log all sensor inputs and display them on a Graph on your Laptop when you have finished testing the bike on a track or Dyno. You can then analyze and change Maps based on what you see in the recorded graph at fractions of a second. Things like Air Fuel Ratio and how fast the bike accelerates and I think the new Autronic you can graph the knock sensor (but I have not played with the new Autronic).
Air Fuel Ratios/timing would most likely need changing if you changed mechanical parts too:
Camshaft
Valves
Different Compression
Exhaust
Port the Head
Bigger Throttle Bodies
Air Filters
etc. etc. etc.......
Autronic and Motec are regarded as one of the best programable ECU's in the world. They were both designed in Melbourne Australia by the same fella.
