Funny, I haven't really had a chance to ride her. Just a spin around the parking lot to shake her down. (I'm totally slammed at work and was frustrated with a decision that was made so I went to the shed and mounted my wheels). I can tell you the handling with the new wheels is demonstratively different. Much faster turn in. Not sure if it is due to the tires or the wheels.

The Conti's are essentially soft slicks with grooves. Likely wont last any time at all but they sure do grip! Fun fun fun on a street berg but really not meant to last. I like them for track days where the dirt course is set up. I'm not very good on dirt (read: bloody awful!) and the Conti's give me much more confidence than the slicks (yep, I've been known to slide up and over the burm in a heaping mess of dirt, plastic and leather). Can't wait for this big work project to be over so I can build the 700 (still working on the pistons guys - that email will be ready tomorrow for your review) and take the "lil" bike to the track. Furthermore, I'm looking forward to some off road with Rainero!

Here's Mine!

Here in Southwest Colorado we've been getting some pretty warm temps for February. I've gotten out a few times this past week.

Once for a short road ride back into Black Canyon National Park and a couple other times near Grand Junction for some early season dirt.

Hoping to get over to Moab this coming weekend for some fun desert single track...things should dry out over there soon.

Pretty stock 390. I bought it used this past fall with a bit over 9 hours on it and a couple hundred miles. Bike came with a 70* under-the-seat tank, new fuel pump, and skid plate.
I've put on a trail tech radiator fan-using Evans coolant, exhaust guard, front and rear tugger straps, and a Wolfman enduro pocket tank bag, shaved the seat down a bit so I can foot it, threw on a new Geomax 81 rear tire.

Such a fun bike to ride! I know it doesn't have kick start and it is roughly 12 pounds heavier than a KTM 4-stroke 350 but, I love how well this bike rides technical single track. Great torque too.

Finally I got the opportunity to get some decent pictures of my bike! Just installed some blue foot pegs, think it matches my clutch/break handle nice.

This is how it stands now, any ideas to which appereance modifications I could do to it? :p
Thinking about getting blue spoilers on the left and right side, a yellow headlight mask and a yellow FS fender. Maybe putting on a black or blue handle bar later.
Im also looking for some supermoto rims.

Baby's got a new pair of shoes!
Cool I got the same wheels but the not 2 tone ones just straight carbon but the 2 tone looks realy nice on yours!
What size is your rear sprocket I would like to have got a blue stealth one for mine but couldn't find one in the size I wanted so ended up getting a gold coloured one 44t (don't like gold:p )

A beautiful day today, no wind and sun with hard ice on the track. 4x 70-degrees. From left to right: 390, tuned 570 racer, my tuned 570, 570.

I had it custom made as part of a "lifetime sprocket" deal you can get with Supersprox - spendy spendy but it was part of a "trade" for services so I went with it. It's a 42t. I'm with you on the Gold, but it's the only supersprocket you can get for the berg for a sumo that makes any sense. I was about to pull the trigger on the gold one when this fell in my lap.

After I got the wheels, I was thinking I should have gone straight carbon with the blue hubs. Still on the fence with that decision, but, well it's already been made. On the bike, the 2 tone works better than I thought it would.

My alpina rear wheel is gone for rebuild the bling blue hub will be replaced for a stock boring heavy grey hub but I realy wanted cush drive now and this was the only way...
Maybe later buy a second set with oem hubs and 16.5 front.
But first try and save some:p
Very happy with the alpina wheel realy transforms the handling and they are very strong! My rims are full of marks from crashing and tyre changes but they are bulletproof ;)
