Hello everyone,
Got a bit of a conundrum with my berg.
About 6 months ago i was riding home from work when my bike suddenly died. No mechanical crunches/bangs were heard, just rolled to a stop, a bit before that it was running slightly strange and it seemed to loose a little power.
Anyway i sent the stator and cdi unot off to Sparks to see of that was the problem, He tested both on his rig and said that the stator was not the problem, it was more likely to be the cdi unit. So i replaced the cdi unit with a brand new one. With the old cdi you would get a very poor tiny spark if lucky, with the new cdi you get a much better spark, bit i dont think its perfect.
The bike will kick over and sometimes start, however it will only run for a few seconds then die, i noticed that if the idle screw was turned all the way in it Would run for slightly longer but still die.
I have checked, stripped and cleaned the carb, was no dirt at all. Gone over all of the wiring for any broken links/bad earths.made the tank have one single fuel line and tap for assurance, replaced the spark plug, charged battery and still het the same results, i am slowly Loosing my nerve with this, have absolutely no idea what the problem could be.
ANY THOUGHTS WIDLEY APPRECIATED!
any thing missed out ask me and will do my best to explain.
