Yea I went through and read through all the data sounds like 03 most all the updates were done where as my 02 fx470 is still in pieces. :( On thing I did notice that after riding the bike around it seams to have a lot of racket coming from the clutch side case It does have an auto clutch and they removed the clutch lever personally I really don't care for the clutch setup but are the auto clutches noisy? I've never had/used one or really every been around one so honestly I have no idea :?: :?:

Auto clutchs should not make any noise(when not under load). It may be worth pulling the clutch cover and having a look around. For what it's worth, I think all pre 04 bergs are exceptionally noisy.

Quick video of the bike running does all the clattering sound normal never owned a really big bore Berg before this one

It does sound noisy. My personal rule is that if the filters, screen and magnets are clean...no worries. If it starts shedding metal you will want to take a look see under the rocker cover and clutch cover.

It has some kind of auto clutch on the bike (rekluse?) I have never messed with these so I dont know if they are noisy or what the clutch lever was removed from the bike when I got it I took the one off my 470 and bleed the clutch system but once it was bled I could not pull the lever Is this right Im not sure what kind of setup is on the bike I was thinking of taking it off all together but IDK what I will need to get it back to normal I wonder if the clutch parts off my 02 470 are the same?

You may or may not be able to interchange all the clutch parts. There were a couple of changes made from 01-03. I would say you could probably interchange all of the parts, meaning take the whole clutch assembly and starter drive assemblys and swap one to the other.

You are never supposed to pull the clutch lever in on the older style Recluses while the engine is not running. It can break the pressure plate. Start the bike and give it a try.

Ok took the cover off had a nice time getting the kick start lever off shaft is bent. Took cover off and found a rev-lock clutch took that off and balls went everywhere lol. put everything in a bag found that the back of the pressure plate is all tore up theres not even a push rod or anything no wonder why the clutch wont work.

When i drained the oil there was a nice ball of fur on the magnet mostly clutch material pulled the screen nothing really so i dug a little deeper to find that the cam chain was loose   sooooooo I took the rock cover off didnt really find anything all the cam bearings were still there nothing missing or worn out so looks like im going to need new chain and guides and a new clutch.

While im going through this thing I noticed that the gearing on this thing is set for light speed 15/42 seams a bit high does any one know what the stock gearing is I would thing some what like 13-50?

Can you post up some pictures of the damage? I may have a clutch for you. Maybe able to work out some kind of trade for the Revloc if it's not too shagged.
Whatever you do, account for every one of those balls from the Revloc or things will end badly for you.
14-48 worked very well for my 650's for offroad.

Heres some pics of the only damage nothing some sand paper wont fix I had no ideah the cost of this clutch setup untill I started looking in to it but dam

Yes, the Revloc's are spendy. Until very recently it was the only auto clutch you would want to run in a 650. A very heavy duty piece of kit.
I think I would forward those pictures to Revloc and ask them for an opinion of what may have caused the damage.

Called the revloc guys today (David) nice people pretty knowledgeable when I told them waht was going on he imdiatly asked if all the ware was only on the inside of the pressure plate witch it is, he went on to say that this is due to eaither an improper clutch stack or the stack of fibers is worn out too much causing the inner hub to hit the pressure plate whitch will make noise and crate all kinds of debris so I can just clean the inner par up and everything should be good to go with some new fiber plates of coarse

Well I picked up a complete clutch setup for 90 bucks and it has everything through out bearing push rod inner outer basket and all the plates. It says its for an 05 so if itll work great if not back to looking

Ok so far everything im looking at on this clutch will work put the outer hub on and everything was the same. As per the parts manual most of the parts say 03 (factory 2005 parts manual) and up I see the the clutch pack itself is different but I have the complete set up so looks like everything should work unless there is something Im not seeing? :?:

I also bout a 05 kick start shaft as the old, stock one, was bent to crap and there is a big difference in this part it was obviously updated and will be alot stronger

Soooooooo I got the clutch off the 05 fitted on my berg have to put the cover on but everything fit and seam to function just fine. I also found the the counter balance drive gear nut was loose so I went ahead and re-tightened that new timing chain and slide tennsioner too should have everything back togatehr tomorrow afternoon after I go for a morning ride Maybe since I had an entire clutch set off an 05 I havent seen any issues?
