even though delo 400 has more heavy metals than its replacements the delo400le and silver/gold, there are regulations that restrict the amount of these heavy metals in the oil
the moreys manfr in nue zelund told me the stabilizer has a lot of these heavy metals in it like sulfur and zinc and many others plus a viscosity stabilizing package and stops the oil dripping off things when the engine is stopped.
as I understand it using a stabilizer replaces some of the beneficial nasties that have been restricted and adds an extra level of viscosity stabilizing additives to help stop the oil breaking down.
FWIW moreys does contain sulfur which eats the silver plating on our big end cages.. Lucas stabilizer does not have sulfur.
