Hi people...

My berg '07 fe550 tend to overheat, I put a fan OEM fan KIT on the radiator wich I manually operate..
Is there a way to have more cooling power? maybe an oil cooler? lol! It's quite hot in ZAR.

Please help...

550 is anything like my 570, you've got a handy exposed oil line on the front of the engine. The problem will be to find an oil cooler that's small enough to mount somewhere in the airflow and out of harm's way.

Don't expect too much from an oil cooler, though. Oil coolers cool the oil, not the engine. Mr. Anderson's idea is probably the way you need to go.

also put an overflow bottle on so when it does get hot the overflow is not spat on the ground but into bottle then it draws back.

i have motul inugel mixed at 66% i think it is and its pretty fool proof now,

Tin Tin, what is your coolant ratio? Is it boiling over? I am running 30% coolant 70% distilled water with a little water wetter. 05 550 &'650 no fan, never boiled over. Straight water is a better conductor of heat than coolant, but will boil at 212F. I think the manual calls for a 40/60 mix of coolant/water.

Hi Peeps,

I've been MIA for a while :hang:

I put a new radiator cap on... What a simple fix! Runs like a dream and never overheats... :bounce:
