Hi folks, a couple of us are considering a supermoto track-day at a place called Trax in Preston, location below;

The track time is a 10 - 15 minutes on/off affair on a Sunday, price approx £30 for the day.

There is also an off-road course adjacent to the track for the moto-x brothers.

Timing? Well lets leave it open for now, & perhaps we can pick a Sunday when the forecast is dry if possible??

Two tickets please, me and a pal, both from Worcestershire and both on 650 bergs.
P.S. keep it quiet from CHRIS#64, as I think he'll make me look like I'm going backwards!
Going to need to be a dry day which I think will be the hardest part to organise.
 
Too far for me (mx) but thread a great title - should keep this going and post each time going to a track so others can meet up.

Does anyone know what the tarmac track at Swaffham is like - I go to Hit the dirt (enduro track) on the other side of the road sometimes??
 
Sounds like a good day could come of this crispin, we could get an official unofficial track day lap time etc! Would be good to get some of the sm lads together along with the mx at the same venue, mob the place out and count up the wounded at the end of the day :D

Im definately there !! i also know of another two who will be up for it ( non UHE ?? but with husa's ) as they're always out there already in this weather !

My offer of overnight digs still stands ...

i was thinking a bit more into 'summer'. warmer, more chance of a dry day, much more daylight and my bike will be OTR then :)

take yer time cutting them knobblies off pete !
 
that track looks good but a bloody long way from southampton! Lydd is on the south coast but still a couple of hours away, hate to say it but maybe a north and south track day and then compare vids and scars!!
 
yeah as Smithy says really want to get a dry day (although its good experience slipping around in the wet, not so much fun when you've paid for tarmac time...).

So perhaps during spring/summer, we could do multiple meets, lets not forgett that Trax run every Sunday, no pre booking required, so almost not restriction on Sundays we can use?

In fact, theres nothing stopping anyone meeting up at a Sunday between now & summer also. Lets keep an eye on the weather forecast, and if looking good one Sunday & someone fancies it, post the question & if anyone else can make that Sunday arrange to meet up?

I've got Preston weather in my i-google....!

Also nothing stopping others having a "daaawn Saaath" shin dig & posting their vids & pictures of broken bones & jellied eels...

Would be great fun for everyone if we can get some on-board vids of our riders, photos of the events etc, so I'll certainly go prepared.

Yeh i agree it is a long way to travel for a trackday, comparing scars sounds good haha :)

If we got enough notice for a down south trackday (if theres a lot more people able to go) then i'd be up for asking my mate if i can borrow his van and driving down.

Keep this thread somewhere near the top we'll use it to organise anything we may want to meet up and do this summer !!
 
Does anyone fancy a mid march jaunt at trax?? Try and get a list together for mad as a march hare capers on two wheels :D :D

Do as many days as we can Crispin before you and i get too old and scared of the tarmac :roll:
 
I'd be up for a mid march trackday !

Went down today too - crispin they had minimotos on (well ONE mini moto on the track by himself!)
It was 15mins SM's, 15mins Go karts then 15mins mini motos !
Started raining mid afternoon and it looked a nightmare out there !
 
Trax is a little too far for me as well at this time of year, but would be up for track day meet later in the year.

Kinsham is the nearest track for me, only made it there once last year and had the track to myself for the whole day.

Mid March fine for me too, and then we can get some in later in the year & arrange some bigger meets. Smithy, Sunday the 8th?? you there with ice tyres on dude??? If I remember it was dry, bright & COLD most of the day, then here it snowed heavily later afternoon. Fair play, you're obviously getting some track time in, I admire the dedication pal!!

I'm still keeping an eye on the weather, and first dry day I'll give it a go, just to get rid of some of the winter rust!
