G,day all...
Picked up my new bike last week, 2010 FE390....AWESOME!!!! it came fitted with a Z-Start Rekluse, which i am still getting used to.
Anyways, i have only done about 4hrs of riding since i got it, but i have noticed something that has made me worry slightly. When its hot, i noticed under load, fair amount of clutch slip, on a steep hill climb, the clutch makes a horrible metallic slipping noise......is this normal when the oil is hot? i was thinking perhaps an oil cooler might help. anyone have one, or know how to get one? i have a thermo fan on the way, might help a little.

thanks, i did search but couldnt find anything related to my issue.

Normal, especially if you are running a gear too high. I know I tend to get lazy with the rekluse and run a gear or 2 too high at times.

I would be worried too if my auto clutch made a 'horrible metallic slipping noise', even when ridden a gear too high. I have had 4 bikes with properly adjusted Revloc auto clutches and have never experienced this phenomenon.
