just thought i'd let you know that i went for an interview today and have a new job ready to start!

sherco's are being imported by a company that does trail riding tours. they have north and south wales as well as the peak district and somewhere in the south west. they also have two trail tours in spain: an easy and a difficult one.

so they decided to become the sherco importer and will use all shercos on all their trail tours. buy a sherco and they'll refund the trail tour costs. they will not have a dealer network for their off-road bikes due to financially being unviable so sherco 5.1i, 4.5i and 2.5i will only be available from st. albans.

my duties will be to prepare all the machines, take some of the tours, prepare a racer or two, sell them, and visit shows etc. i will also be snet to southern france (nantes i believe) for a course on the F.i. systems etc.

the interview consisted of me turning up in my roughs and getting a brand new '06 to start and run! turned out the actual injector nozzle is US.

bar the mileage i think it's good for me. we have a few ideas on how to get around it, like me bringing a few steeds home for a few days!

so that's it really! i like the variety and i hope to have lots of work to do as i need the spondoolies at present.

Taffy

Congratulations.

I can tell you its a nice job, i work for a company called My Adventure, and we offer events and riding school, to companys and privet persons.

Thomas

RE: Re: new job with sherco

best of luck Taffy, that 2.5i sherco sounds VERY interesting.

Congrats Taffy. They always say to live life at its best work at your choice of play. Hope all goes well. I've already learned something as I thought a Sherco came from Bultaco lineage and was from Spain.

Hey Taff

Great news mate, I'm very happy for you. If I were to buy a Sherco, I'd have to have you prep it LOL.

Enjoy the new endeavor

First ride report on Sherco 250 just came out. Reportedly it performs like a 310 (it was ridden back to back with a TE250 and TE310).

Not a magazine report yet, it was a TT member. I have seen reviews on prototypes, but this is the first civilian review I ahve seen. There is a distinct possibility that this is still a prepro model (it has Ohlins F/R). If I recall correctly, Sherco has added 40 or 50 propro mules to the original handful of race bikes (probably 4 or 5 total). Believe it or not, this bike excites me more than anything else in production (although a Japanese 250f mx bike converted to enduro rates up there too). I suspect we should start seeing more tests on the mules over the next month or so before the actual production bikes arrive in late January. I will be meeting up with the local Sherco dealer to demo the 250 when it arrives (he is also an ISDE vet).

i beleive that they won't be going into production till march so you'll have to wait a bit longer. if the bloke is english he'll be reacting to a test in an english magazine called TBM which many of us here have oft reported on. the write up was excellent but it has to be said that they rode the WEC bike of a WEC junior rider.

not exactly typical....!

we shall see!

It was a TT member that was invited to ride the 2008 line of Shercos this weekend in France. No mention was given whether it was one of Jolly's race bikes or a prepro.

Taffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

So they are like an EFI KTM with linkage and it rings the Marseillaise when you push the button, is that right Taffy?

Hey, can anyone tell more about these bikes? where are they produced? an interesting solution with the rear shock I should say...

You need to go back to page 1 of this thread my dear, but to make it short, they're French made and have some KTM influence.
