Just spoke with the Mexican Dealer, next month they are presenting the all new bike as a prototype, that is was the news will say, but in fact that is the bike is going out for sale, he told me that the engine will be upside down, the piston goes down as the intake is on the upper part helping gravity, off course fuel injected, and the exhaust no more turns goes out direct to the back of the motorcycle, helping on a better performance and saving weight!!!!

Just one month lets see if all this is true.

Cheers

Ricardo

damn thats a well connected dealer.
all the dealers and the importer i been talking to know nowt.
perhaps there all telling porkies.
though jocke d said a bike was going on display in november.

That is not far off what I have heard as well. And my info came from within KTM/HSB.

Upside down engine? Haven't seen that one yet. Well, everyone wanted something new and cutting edge, sounds like we may get what we wished for. I just hope it works.

Upside down?...that's not cutting edge. I've been working on that for years. It's still a problem getting traction though, with the wheels sticking up like they do. And then there's those problems of fuel flow and the old breather issues.

I kNEW I WAS AMONG A SMALL GROUP OF PIONEERS! AT THE BLEEDING EDGE!

Thats funny, I saw a post on the internet that said Husaberg was going to use a rotary style engine, with forced induction and an inter cooler. As an added bonus the bike is said to have a dual range transmission as well as six speeds. The frame is said to be all alluminum, except for the backbone and engine cradle, they remain steel. The factory will supply an all new guard set-up for the countershaft sprocket. The super moto guys will be happy to see the new aerodynamic front brake line and ultra sticky seat cover. Well I have really let the cat out of the bag now! I have to go there are men in suits and sunglasses coming to get me....................

November around the 10th in Milan ITALY. Hold on guys it vill be a great bike. the future starts now.

Upside down engine?Valve adjustments would be fun.But
atleast the mains would be easy to service, which would
be often. :D

Bendberg, that's a new one, the rotary engine thing. That will be a lot of fun for the hobbyist to take care of and I see myself bringing the bike for a tune up and the mechanic looking perplex...

has there ever been so much rumour about a bike before?

even bmw's enduro didn't have so much speculation and rumour

The Cannondale was hyped up before its release too- I think one magazine voted it "Bike of the Year" even before it was released to the public..........

Gonna be a lot of dissapointed people out there if the 09 is just a case of Bold New Graphics and minor changes.

I don't think there is that much rumor about the 2009 Husaberg out of the exotics enthusiasts miniverse.

As for the Cannondale, it was overhyped by some magazines in the US. We know it was a bust because they tried to have too many innovations at once, a bit like the V-22 Osprey.

It seems the new Husaberg engine has been in development for many years, now.
