Husaberg vs Husky

Ok, I know this is a Husaberg site, but the Husky site I have been looking at does not have much activity, and Adventure Rider site does not provide much help with the Bergs.

Seriously, how would you guys compare the bigger Bergs to Huskys. I mean are they pretty much both solid bikes after 99....correct?

I am looking at 501s, 650s.....570s and 610s. What are your experiences? I would imagine that the two pretty much compare pretty closely, the Berg might have more 2 stroke-like power but the Husky has more top end...mostly due to gearing. What else have you noticed? How about reliability.

I mean I have hear Husky owners say they have not seen a Husabeg long term owner happy, I don't really believe that.....I am assuming that it is like Ford vs Chevy....you are born into one or the other.

Let me know what you think.

RE: Husaberg vs Husky

Hello Darrin, Im Terry even though im geared more towards the TM Line, I must tell you that I truly believe that the Husaberg Owners are very happy with thier bikes longterm, These guys that are here and riding all the time, Husaberg is thier life, it is an awesome following that they have developed, it doesnt matter to them if there are issues here and there, it is thier passion, I bet some of them even wear HUSABERG Underwear, that is how deep thier passion is for thier bikes, i think you can tell that buy this Forum......It definately comes down to maintenance and upkeep, that will be your key to any machine, Husqvarna is a great machine, then again so is Husaberg, TM, and Gas Gas, Whatever bike you choose, Im sure you will be very happy with, especially if you take care of it...

Here is something you might be interested in also, on www.cycletrader.com Do a search for Husqvarna, there is a dealer out there that is blowing 06's for cheap a 125 2T for $3,000, might wanna give him a call and see what he has as far as bigger bikes for you.

If you are interested in a TM, Let me know I do know where a few bikes are,and I parts are in stock 2T and 4T I know a guy selling a TM530F big bike with 50 original miles on it for under $4,200 if interested let me know

I bet some of them even wear HUSABERG Underwear
hey, that's supposed to be a secret :x
(however, in cypher's case, we just wished he wore any underwear)

There is a guy on here that has both the Husaberg 650 and the Husky 610 (570). He would be able to give you the impressions that he has come up with. He took both bikes to the Force Ride '07 and had a ball. His screen name is Sethro and all-in-all a good guy. He rides like a girl which is why he needs the big 650. Lives in the phonix area, (nice spelling). i can tell you from personal experiance both bikes toss a HUGE roost.

JWilly, You ignorant **** ! Sethro may ride like a girl , but he lives in Flagstaff, AZ F-L-A-G-S-T-A-F-F At least his wife rides like a man! Sorry to thrash you just couldn't resist the opening. Ready to back to Moab yet ?

God I wish I coud head back right now. You guys have NO idea how much I really did enjoy myself. That was my first vacation without the wife and/or kids in 13 years. These last 2 weeks have been very hard for me getting back into my routine. I am heading out on Tues after 3:00 to do some riding with a few buddies, 2 Husabergs, 1 YZ426f, and 1 KTOOM  . Its some 1-track in the Mt Hood NF, I have never been there so it will be a new experience. We will be getting into a little snow above 3000 feet, Grip heaters!! I love them. I have'nt heard from Seth or Kandi, are they still around?
So Ron, Hows the clutch? Better yet, hows the JBWELD LEAK on the right side of the case? you hillbilly. Has your Bro purchased a Husaberg yet? I have been out of touch, busy at work and doing about 1300sf of wood floor in the evenings at home. My hands are killing me. Say hello to the guys for me,

Jesse

I am going to try and meet up with Sethro this weekend to take a look at both bikes side by side 650/610, if he will have me. He posts quite a bit over at Adventure Rider.

You guys really are helping out a lot. Keep up the bits of wisdom so I can make a really well informed decision.

Thanks.

Darrin
