Hello All,

Long time no post!!!

I am having problems with my hydraulic clutch again!!

I Have decided to just rebuild the whole unit tired of messing with it after sitting for a week I go out and it has lost its prime.

I have no idea how to fix this problem it looks like it leaks all over on the top unit located on the handlebars and is near impossible to get to bleed

Does anyone know if magura sells a rebuild kit that is possible for me to install? Anyone know how complicated it is?

Has anyone else ever had this problem or am I just the lucky one

I think you can get a repair kit thru Sudco. Bleed from the slave yp to the master cyl. Good luck

Hi ENFORCER4,

I miss your posts on your exploits with the Enforcer!

After about a years use, I started having the same kind of problem on my 2000 501 you are describing. It turned out to be the plastic tube Magura used between the master and slave cylinders. I bought an after market braided steel line from a KTM dealer to fix it and havent had any problems since.

The new Berg lines are armoured also and might fit.

The old plastic ones had plastic ferrals and the line and ferral would eventually take a set and could not be tightened. The braided line came with an adaptor that threaded into the slave cylinder. Line and adaptor were about $50.00US, but well worth it!

Regards,

Joe

I will have to take a picture of how I got mine setup so you can see it already has stainless braided lines

I have never seen any other bike/quad setup this way. I will post pics soon

Hello JoeUSA,

To be totaly honest I have been busy as two people with work and I am currently attending College. Have not had much time for riding except for my street bike.

I pop in and out of the forum here and there but I haven't done much riding this season, hopefully soon this will change

I have a break coming up and hopefully I can get some much needed seat time on my quad I have a real strong desire to get it out and open her up. I had it out today but it started raining guess it didn't matter much the clutch don't work anyways.

There are some smart mouth teenagers on jap quads in the neighborhood who moved in the beginning of this summer who need to be taught what real speed is, If their quads where as fast as their lips are they would go back to the future. This is going to be fun!!!!

That is as soon as I get my clutch problem fixed

My quad eats raptors with aftermarket exhaust and cams for lunch!!
:D

the clutch repair kit for the husaberg is now a ktm part number or that is what i was told $87.00 nz take you about 15 minutes to do the lot i used silkolene 5 wt fork oil the maintain range which is the cheapest takes a bit to bleed keep pumping the lever with the lid off you will see small bubles coming up for ages and keep bleeding with the syringe i did see alot of wear in the slave cylinder could be a problem later on in my bike might pay to check yours

They are a real prick to bleed. Best methode is to use a syringe to force fluid up from slave to master. Get a large syringe from vet. Other wide remove lever/master syinder from bars and place it below level of slave and bleed as per normal. It seams its nearly impossible to drive air down the line not sure why.

Cheers Horto

i used a syringe as well but you know the cheapest and easiest place to get a syringe here was from a clean needle exchange ,a methadone outlet for the drug users i also get my needles for recharging shocks there a pack of 200 for $5.00 cant beat that price

I will have to get time to post a pic of how the handle bar unit is setup and looks its not like the unit on a dirtbike

as i've said; the knuckle near the cylinder goes in a fall. also the 'O' ring down in the slave cylinder goes. when you bleed you need to just pump straight up with the KTM syringe.

good luck

Hey taffy,

You don't by any chance know the replacement part #'s do ya?

all i know is that the KTM250F hose was a perfic fit. you need the 'O' ring from the slave cylinder which you can get from the husa parts book and the syringe is in the special tools section which i believe is listed at the very front of the parts or service manual.

i'm not going to do that for you. i believe that you are now old e.....
