My Husaberg stopped and wont start again...

Before it stopped I had problems holding an even speed, I don't know the words to explain it in english.
And if I gave too much throttle it was like the bike died, but the motor did not stop, very uncomfortable.
I've checked the spark plug, it looks ok, it gives a spark when I try the kick-start. I've tried kick-starting and
starting when rolling down a hill and the bike wont give any signal of life at all.

It's a 2003 model FE 501, I need some tips :)

Possibly a broken exhaust valve spring.

Even with a spark the ignition stator may be going out. Does it give a nice fat blue spark or one that is barely noticable?

I am thinking that it may be a fuel delivery problem. That would explain why it would almost die if it was given too much throttle, as well as why it won't start. I don't think that a spark problem explains the former, only the latter.

That sounds a lot like what happened to my 03 fe400. In my case, the right hand camshaft bearing ate itself. It must have swallowed the balls too, as I can't find them! If I could only get the swing arm bolt out, I would open it up to see what carnage is inside. Open to any suggestions for getting it out.

As HB and BWB said, exhaust valve spring.

No leadup, just all of a sudden runs like crap and won't go. Twist the throttle and It went raaaggghhhw...?

Let us know what it is k.
.

The spark was barely noticable, and I thinks its not getting enough fuel.
I will check the exhaust valve springs when I get the time and maybe post some photos :)
I have driven the bike pnly three days, the two first days I didn't notice any of these problems except it died if I didn't give much more throttle than normal.

I just had a chat with a mechanic and he said there might be a problem with the coil, the CDI box or the stator.

Thanks for helping!

Hi,
I had similar problem on bike like yours some time ago, mine didn't won't to rev.
When i open the throtle it stoped.
The fuel velve in carb was blocked and it didn't getting enought fuel.

Regards

I'll check my carb and try to replace the stator :)

Did you check the values of it by ohmmeter?

No, but will do that before I eventually order a new one. I don't even know which values I should have and on wich wires fraom the stator I should have those values on.

I was going to remove the stator cover when I saw the red wire out of the stator that was going to the coil was damaged. I fixed the wire so now it starts easy and runs like it should, except that the bike isn't getting enough fuel.
