Hey Guys,

This here is just a writeup of a little project I did on my beloved FE450. I took my enduro and put an SM kit on it. I am running 17" husaberg wheels, Pirelli Sport Demon Tyres, Moose Racing Sawblade Rotors, and a 15-42 gearing. I got all of my parts and service assistance from OFFROAD BOSS he is great. He hooked me up really well, set up my wheels balanced them and gave me all of the technical assistance I needed. He also threw in some badass husaberg and Bozarth stickers for my truck. GREAT SHOP look him up http://www.offroadboss.com/contact_us.htm

All and all a good winter project that did not give me too many headaches. A couple of things that may be obvious to you regulars that took me some effort were:
The fs hub in the rear is not an easy fit. I thought there may have been a different axle or something but the cush hub does not allow the axle to just slide through at least the first time fitting it. Had to fit it like they do in Russia "Beat it until it does what you want" I had to take the hub apart and see that the axle will slide through the parts individually and when you take the cush rubbers out but when they are in it needs some mallet action. Secondly, I KNOW IT IS IN THE MANUAL NOW but it is in a bold sidenote and not where i would expect to see it but in order to fit the new chain i have for the FS kit i had to turn my adjuster blocks around so I could fit my chain up proper.

I have a couple of things I have left to do. First is to do something with my sidestand which is a bit long. I dont want to cut it too bad because i plan on switching the wheels out and running the knobbies on it when i can find some trail time. I am thinking I might make a sort of sleeve with a metal pipe and making 2 holes so i can have the sidestand adjustable or just chopping an inch off of it because the sidestand is a little more for the street use anyhow. "FISHING FOR SUGGESTIONS!"

And secondly I need to get a magnet for the speedo. something I neglected to think of. for the cost i would prefer to just buy another rather then swap it over. the small circlip is hard to get to through the spokes anyhow.

Now the fun part PICTURES
Forgive me I didn't have my camera handy when in the process but here are some nice after shots.

Ok maybe in March

beautiful looking bike--i love the exhaust, mine used to look that shiny when i first got it. man, i miss those days!

Thank you! she is pretty I hope to keep her looking shiny should be a little easier now that i will be using it a lot more on road

Really nice job Zach!!! I love the look. It's probably going to be April before we get to ride here in MN/WI with all the snow.

Fortunately I am not responsible enough to wait until it is "safe" to ride. so long as most of the snow is off the road CANT WAIT!!

Nice bike Zach!

1. I used to wrench a -06 FS 650 and for some reason the 17" KTM wheels (with cush hub) needed some persuation with a mallet to make it fit. The Husaberg 17's" (also with cush hub) on the other hand slipped right in. Go figure...

2. Pick up a neodymium magnet at the hardware store and glue it to the brake disc and you're good to go.

With a shorter front fender you'll gain some high speed stability (which can be useful... )
A set of bark busters will protect your handle bars when the laws of physics and gravity seem to have stopped working. :bounce3:

Rock on man! I am going to head down to the hardware store in the next half hour. I love saving money with some simple solutions.
As far as the fender goes I am going to judge after a few miles are down I like the look of the big ol fenders.

I think I am giong to get the bark busters I have wanted some for a while
