it takes ages to read a post with that avatar waggling about :D

pull the whole end cap off, sounds like 100Hp but too loud

gave me a headache and I can't stand earplugs. I made a short angled stainlelss pipeabout 40mm ID welded to the endcap and the other end fits over the perforated tube inside the muffler, endcap has the hole ground bigger, holes drilled in the stainless pipe. check steves gallery for a similar mod done all proper by a guy with a dyno hes in bathurst i think?

also check ORANGEBERG s gallery he sells proper ones that don't weigh a ton or take all day to make.

Ill put a pic in my gallery soon.

Muffberger,

take a look in an ADB magazine, I reckon September, october or November this year had a new products report on the prorider ktm endcaps, they are milled alloy just like the barrett exhausts ones, probably machined by barretts, the older prorider caps were cromed steel, and didnt look too different from the stocker, which is good if your local cops like to scrutineer loudish bikes.

They went for about $150, and the one i put on my '05 FE550 made a noticable difference, not far short of the Akrapovic slip on.

there are some pics in my gallery, the fact that it is a ktm cap and therefore deviates the exhaust gasses inward was no problem at all, so no need to worry bout your blinkers etc, the new milled ones are Husa specific. ORANGEBERG stocks them as best I know.

and yes that is a hell of a distracting avatar 8O ... love it dude!

Azza.

Gday MEDOGROCKET

How was the noise increase after the mod? Noticeable or..?

Thanks
