Major rebuild for my '04 FE 450E

Hey guys,
I've had my 450 pulled down after it let go on me, and found the locknut for the tapet adjustment came loose, and it and the screw came out, machining some unwanted galleries in the rocker cover on the way. It then found its way into the gearbox and popped it out of gear.
Dropping the oil revealed alloy shavings for Africa, some match head size chunks, and an all round horror story! Thankfully, the bore was untouched, the box is fine, but the head needs a major!!!
To get a genuine piston and gasket kit, I'll have to wait 8 weeks for them back ordered from Austria, according to the local Brisbane supplier ...so, I need advice on sourcing the gear I require.
Firstly, is a genuine piston worth the extra $'s, or is there a better aftermarket option?
Gasket set....genuine or aftermarket (if genuine, who stocks them)
Timing chain....same
Rocker rollers
Inlet valve etc.
I have bought parts from BossOffRoad in the USA, but see there site says US only. Has anyone got a recommended supplier in the states?
The old girl would love a new set of hoops, so any advice on a quality rim at a good price would be sweet.
Cheers fellas,

Good luck!

Re. rims - DR-Z400 owners tend convert to supermoto wheels, you might be able to score some rims and relace. Don't know if you can use the hubs. They're decent quality Excels of the same size as the Bergs - AFAIK! (Long shot but something to consider perhaps...)

I do an aftermarket/OEM hybrid gasket set?

I can do all in your list but please don't use the site for business. PM me maybe but better still go to my web site (link below) and start from there. OEM is a slightly better piston still but if on a budget it isn't worth the extra. I do an AM piston.
