there is no replacment for displacment is what the ol hotroded o rers used to say,its a nobrainer if the weigh the same, a husaberet up above timberlint and like you said you need all the h.p. you can get,I rodeee a cr 250 ortwhen I lived out there,it was about gutless aboursove timberline, but there was not a fourstoke built that could outdo a 2 stroke 250 set up trails,so like every won has been saying ,it all depends on who and were you are riding!I I just have a cr250 and husa 501.but you always a some point wish you had brought the oher bike!

Install radiator guards before you ride. Maybe disc guards to but radiator guards for sure.

Thanks. I was thinking about the disc guard, I like that the Honda 450X comes with that. I wish the 'Berg version also covered the caliper, maybe that is not necessary.

Are you talking about the rails that surround the radiator (below), or something else? I was also thinking of a radiator fan, I can see myself getting into trouble without it.

Those or a couple other mfg's rad guards would work. You said you are going from an XR75 to this bike so you must accept you will fall. Don't embrace it :) but don't stress about it or you are not going to have any fun. Get bark busters too. I did not even mention that one because it is almost a given. The bark busters and red guards before the brake protection. Brake protection when you are comfortable riding on very rocky trails really.
