You will probably find that the two main reasons for main bearing failure is the crank out of true and the engine being over reved.
When I rebuilt my engine last year I replaced the mains with C4 ball as apposed to roller.
Who wants a crank that slaps from side to side.
The total hours so far since rebiuld is 93 Hours and everything is still 100% in that deptartment.
Even though it is ridden on the road and not in anger on the track the engine is still used to it's full potential at times.
Plus being ridden on the road the engine temp doesn't get quiet as high as those that ride dirt.
