Low fender choice for 501?

I finally got a chance to take the bike to a big track- Pocono East. And, finally got to use 4th, 5th, and 6th gears  LOADS OF FUN! Several of the 600cc riders and even 1 750 Gsxr guy stopped by in the pits and asked what the heck that yellow dirt bike looking thing was- they were floored by the acceleration it showed entering each straight. I thought I was through track riding this year, but notice that NESBA has the Jefferson circuit for two days at the end of October. So... :D

Anyway, I'm thinking that a low fender would be better for the big tarck use, so anyone have any suggestions on what might work? I guess the fallback could be hose clamping something to the fork tubes (shades of the 60's)

Also- does anyone make a fork brace for these bikes (50mm WP iirc, the attached picture shows them without the skins they have now )? There were a just a couple of times on big speed (well, fo rme anyway) bends that I think I felt some front end flex.

There might be some makers of fork braces that now handle forks that large. I would check around since you know the size fork leg for it to fit. Once you find the brace then can move the front fender down and mount on the brace. Not much help but I hope it helps. Worth it to watch some people eat crow :D .

Have seen a Summers fork brace fitted to a KTM with 50mm Extremes- not sure if it was specifically made for the WP forks or a modified XR unit.
SRC (Summers Race Components) is worth a search. :)

Thanks for the suggest. I should have mentioned that I already got a brace from SRC that they suggested- not even close fitting :( . They did the right thing though, and let me exchange it for one for my DRZ.
