Do we have a list of Husaberg parts crossed to KTM part numbers? I am looking for top end parts mostly. Valves springs guides rocker rollers. I have a good source for KTM parts but need the KTM numbers that cross to Husaberg
Thanks

We don't have a list but it is easy enough to check for matching KTM parts. First go to http://www.bikebandit.com/, click the search function at the top left of the page, select "OEM Part search", at the manufacturer drop down select KTM, then enter the Husaberg part number from the parts manual you wish to search for and all the KTM's that use that same part will be listed.

For instance, you have a 2004 550 I believe, so lets use an exhaust valve Husaberg part number 59036031000, omit any dots or dashes use numbers only. The valve matches 67 KTM machines:

This works with even some first generation Bergs even though the site begins at 2004 for Husaberg parts.

The Bike Bandit part numbers are proprietary so using their part number from their schematics will yield only one match. You must use the Husaberg part number from the parts manual.

as eric says (i pulled up a sleeping bag for that one!) and also i recently started a thread with almost exactly the same title as you bob. yeilded a couple of results but nothing that eric's system won't sort in seconds far better.

Thanks boyos
I guess Ill set down and figure it out and see if I can keep track of what I use of the KTM parts. I have a feeling I will get a better deal this way instead of going Husaberg shop nearby. What ever I cant get from my bud with the KTM shop Il ring up Boss and get the rest from him.
Now if CMS would just get the Berg stealership in addition to KTM Ill be set

Taffy while I agree with you in principal I also have one other guiding force in my life
After all these years I have realized the only power I have left is where I spend my disposable income. I ry and spread it around to small business and NEVER shop in Wallymegalowmart . That said I dont support local bike shops that treat me like they are doing me a favor to let me come inside the store. No, Ill buy from a dealer llike Boss or Dan that actually give the impression they want my business and always give great rapid service and advise. I think there are 11 bike shops in the area and there are only two I will spend money with so my local dealer is out.
Just to make it clear its not the price, My wife and I own two small business and I am all in favor of a small guy making a porfit but rather it is about how you are treated and the level of service given.

sorry! i slipped up there, i nearly morphed into a man "on the other side!".

tried to get a cross reference but can't on purely the numbers: do husabergs share the same clutch plates with any other make?

there is so much i bet that cross references yet i'm sure they won't let on!

need a little help here.

has anyone got an old husky engine in bits? a 410, 510 etc. i need to know the dimensions of the inlet valves which i believe to be 32.5mm. but i need to know the stem diameter and most of all the length?

also, do we know if KTMs and husabergs share the same clutch plates? up to '03 and '03 onwards? do they share the plates with a husky?

i was thinking, do we have an active dealer here who is into husky's and any into KTM's??? i can't recall. orangeberg appears to have wet his pants over the main bearing thread. what a shame?

what are sutto's? or do i risk being sold something!

I'm building the hugest prts code list ever for husabergs but i'm not sure which foot to kick with? everyone will go to ktm dealers for their parts or spurious and it will hurt the husaberg dealers.

do they still have consiencious objectors?

clutch plates (newer) friction x 1 set................................................…...590 32 011 100
clutch plate set steel (x8) set.......................................…......……………….59032010000
clutch plate set friction (x7) set.......................................….....……………..59032011000

the difference in the frictions is that one set were 1.8mm and the other set were 2.0mm.

however i have a set of really thick steels here. like 1.4mm. they are post '04 and i found them wrongly in someone's engine. does anyone know which - if any husaberg had 1.4mm plates.

the above are husaberg numbers. they may cross reference to KTMs?

i'm also looking for a ktm part number for these items:

long gauze filters.......... ...........340 011 01
early valve guide oil seals............200 054 01
small end bush.........................210 175 01

these two are in blue. i need a later code.
4 160 171-01 Frame protector RH 00-
5 160 172-01 Frame protector LH 00-

7 160 125-01............Splash shield (Lower) 96 some of these are really narrow now. does anyone else agree? my OEM one was the widest ever and nothing has been the same since. anyone have later code for this?

3 200 285-01..............Piston ring kit 400 / ø92 mm 01- later code anyone?

29 150 152-01....................Oil trap 00-
here is an odd one! in 2003 they don't even mention that the 501 had a single vertical breather and not the twin breathers. if you take the older oil trap (breather to me) it isn't designed for the vertical breather. anyone got a code for either the original or indeed, if there was a slightly different shape for that one year?

that special little bolt that is designed to stop the engine at TDC on '04 plus? i can't see it in the book. anyone got a code for that?

Taffy

TDC engine locking bolt: 58030080000

Frame protecters in Black: LS- 8000309200030
RS- 8000309300030

Lower Splash Shield: 54606010000

i have done a simple word table that lists the part names as i would name them and next to it are the part codes. i'd like it to be used here on UHE.

i'd like it to be a spread sheet or whatever folk think is best.

i reckon this is a 1-hour job for someone who's good with computers but i'd like it to be done as a spreadsheet or a pdf or whatever bollocks thats good.

that way you can search by

name
part number
areas of the bike
the year

is there anyone who would take this on as a task please?

PM me your email address and i'll pass it on. maybe then we can say how we would like the columns, what searches we'd like etc?

I woould like to help and think this is real imprtant but lack the skills

now if you need some dirt moved and stacked Im your man

we have chilledspode onto it bob thanks. it really isn't that hard but i have low skills in this area.

it's going to have a column for titles as we would

name the parts
part numbers
age related
may even try and leave some aftermarket codes for stuff as well.
haven't bothered with prices unless we sit down and work out an exchange rate mechanism but fact is we have taxes on toipo and so do you in the USA (possibly). everyone is different.

we can leave a link to that KTM usa site or bikebandit or the guys in sweden etc etc.

watch this space.

chilledspode is from yellowknife in canada and fryguy (i believe) wanted us to go up there for a FORCE RIDE. maybe i'll get to meet mark one day?

BTW bob, i kept YOUR thread going coz i don't want anuone forgetting that you even exist! LOL!!!! ("where's that ol' bugger bobzilla? is he still movin'?")

Taffy

Hi Taffy,

Has the list been done yet? If not I may be able to help you compile it

i've been so busy mate. sorry no.

we have a facility now, organised by madde, to work on it in the doc. that way we can literally attack the same doc and update it.
