No Husaberg colors being flown during the AMA Superbike coinciding Infineon SM?

I thought for certain such an event would bring out the best of Nor Cal SM Husaberg riders.

Dale, you know my tale of woe, I was there with the 650 (which garnered LOTS of attention being the only 'Berg there) but being un-able to ride last weekend was a drag. Saw Brett cruise thru the pits Friday in the 'Bergmobile and stopped him to say "Hi", but other than that it was a sea of Jap bikes with several weird orange bikes and 2 Huskys....The track layout was similar to last years, being up above turn 7 of the "big" track, however this year the track was about 50/50 pavement vs dirt. The real problem was due to the "dirt" being mostly clay and the un-seasonal rains the dirt section had the the approximate coefficient of friction (grip) was that of well oiled glass! Let alone racing, guys had a hard time even standing up without slipping on the stuff. They ended up re-configuring the track to take an "S" turn with a nice berm out of the downhill section as it was a bad crash waiting to happen. I shoulda brought my camera, but the pictures would have resembled mud wrestling more than Supermoto! This was definitely a race where horsepower was irrelevant, and the spoils went to the smooth consistent riders who ran deeply treaded tires. Slicks were out of the question, and even the "full soft rains" I had brought would have been useless. The hardest part for poor old me was sitting trackside, hearing the announcer calling out the field to the spectators, and hearing my name and number, followed by "and keep an eye on him, he's out there on a Husaberg..." (sigh...) only to look back at the 'Berg sittin on the trailer nice and clean...You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men...Well there's always next month. The only reason I even brought it out was 'cause I'd pre-entered and pre-paid, so I put the bike thru tech and thought if one of the Bostroms or Garrett wanted to try it out, at least we'd be "representin'" the 'Berg community out there. As it turned out due to track conditions everyone took a pass (can't blame 'em!) Anyway, gimmie 30 days and I'll be ready to rock again, and the further exploits of the Sultan of sideways will continue. But till then, as dear ol' Dad used to say, "Well done is better than well said..."
