I just got a 2011 FE 450 !!!

I just picked one up on Saturday and had it out in the woods on Sunday.
I would like to think that I still had the skills (I hadn't ridden off road in 10+ years). But I think the bike is so easy to ride, it gave me the speed to hang! It hooked up traction wise, wherever I pointed it went and overall I was pretty much surprised at how fast I was riding it.
We did some drag racing on some fire roads an the Berg was three for three, against a freshly rebuilt 450 EXC, and a brand new 09 RXV 5.5 ( fighting for traction of course).
I'm very pleased overall with my new Berg, and look forward to it making me a better rider again.
P.S. My body feels pretty good the day after. BONUS !!!

Owning bergs can become additive be careful i have 3 now :)
 
Yep, I'm jealous. Next goal (after fixing current berg and building a rocking 650 motor and, well, bringing world peace) is a 70 degree bike. I'm jelly indeed!
 
Another great day riding with the boys.
My shifter loosened and had to tighten it but other than that trouble free.

Changed the oil again, with the filter this time, flushed the brake and clutch fluid, and ordered a few nuts and bolts it was missing along with the parts to put the kickstand back on. I also ordered some blue and yellow spoke covers to brighten up the look a little. When I get them I'll post some pic's. Oh and I'll be in the woods on Sunday Rippin' it up !
 
I really wanted the complete kit with number plates but they aren't available. I even contacted FLU Designs and they never contacted me back (they suck) . I will use this kit and try and get someone to make the number plates to match.
 
Wow! Now that looks sweet!

I was able to get in touch with john at FLU Designs and he is working me up some number plates. I guess saying they suck was a little premature. I'll post em' up when it happens.

I thought all the yellow frames were 2012.

That rxv550 is probably looking for fuel... ;-)
I had one, it is a beast of a motor, and the midrange is electric. Still miss it.

I also had an 07 RXV 5.5, they are great bikes! Scary FAST! I would go out on a limb and say the RXV/SXV/MXV 550 is the best V-Twin ever made. Aprilia should make a road race bike using that engine! I still luv em', and most likely have another!
