We had a couple members with them(faktor and enforcer4, if I'm remembering right), but none that are currently active. A dealer also had one up on ebay within the last year.

I'd do shameful things to own one simply for the historacal significance.

Yeah, I thought it was them, but couldn't remember for sure. I don't think Santa viewed me as good enough to be eligible for this category of gifts, unfortunately :)

Hello All
Please remember that its still a quad. Everywhere I go ride, and its alot, these damn things are ruining single track. If I had the money I would buy it and burn it.

If you could, would you please burn a cellphone along with it? I've met a lot idiots on a cellphone and I figure since we're doing things on principal, we should just consolidate our expressions of disgust. It will save us big bucks in gas and burning permits.

thanks,

Cell phones don't ruin single track, though.

I am with Colby. Quads have ruined great singletrack in many places. Take the stereotypical quad rider (backwards hat with goggles, beer cooler strapped to rack, etc) out of the equation if you must. The fact remains that because of their physical size, even responsible and rule abiding quad riders ruin single track, and in short order.

The advent of the two seater hillbilly charriots like Rhinos, Rangers, etc have made it even worse. The mountain trails around Cloudcroft, NM which were built by motorcycles 30 years ago, have all turned into a quad playground. What they can't traverse easily they just winch up. Disgusting, really.

I realize that the off road community collectively does not need to be in-fighting. I mean, we have enough outside enemies as is. However, some moderation and thought about quad access would be prudent while there are bits of single track left.

Now back to the Husaberg quad discussion....

True, they simply distract the driver's attention, risking my and my love ones' lives. Not nearly as important, I'll concede, but just thought we could throw it in since we were burning things that we held a personal distate for. You know, because it's the copnstructive and adult way to show disapproval for anothers' hobby.

Thanks,

In defense of Cheeseberger, I have also regressed to non-constructive answers when four wheelers entered the discussion. The issue tends to polarize people, and when that happens there is not a lot of middle ground, my attempt at a moderate post non-withstanding.

Your restraint was both noted and appreciated. I should have probably exercised the same.

Thanks,

Here in Socal we don't have much single track to speak of mostly wide open desert. We share riding areas with Quads, Dune buggies, Trucks, Rhinos, Jeeps, Tanks whatever.

Its not the worst thing to have a Jeep or Truck cross your path if you are broken down 100 miles from camp in the middle of nowhere or if you need to be dragged out of the Salton Sea stink mud

Well ,I know the impulse to burn things in efigy feels really good, but perhaps a more constructive thing to do is like my friend and riding buddy Tom does. When he run across quads or other four wheeled vehicles where they don't belong ( single track ) or acting like idiots, he stops to point out the error of their ways politely but sternly. Simply put they are endangering all of our's rights to ride and explains if they want to ride single track they should leave the beer cooler behind and get a bike. It also doesn't hurt that he is 6'3" 255 lb. former college football player , that when angered needlessly I have seen bounce a 180 lb. guy against a wall like a basket ball. It's just that if we all wait for a Ranger to catch them hell might need to freeze over first. I feel your pain Colby you too Json not everyone is as good as me at driving, talking on the phone while drinking coffee eating a donut and steering with my knee!

Just remember me cheeseberger before you burn it. I'll take the motor. It's still good for a bike. What I really think is , it would be good for a Single track lovin Berg owner who might want a piece of history to buy it up and take it out in the desert for a little fun sometime and not inerfere with the single track. That way people wont get pissed!!

take it out in the desert for a little fun sometime
POLLO, POLLO, POLLO! chico, that's what started all this "you can't ride on your own land" crap. i say we burn 'em

Then like I said from the start Nedo. I'll take the motor!!. It's good for a bike DUDE. I should have known, they shut down your desert.

WE BURN QUADS!! WE BURN QUADS!! You bunch of cry babies!! Get over it. Just give me the motor or burn your bike motor along with it.

Burn it and then shoot the crap out of it..... leave the mess so the shooters will get blamed for it :thumbright:
It's got to be a toss up as to who is the lesser evil, the shooters or the quadtards.

End of thread- jack, and now back to your regularly scheduled program.
