So I was riding normally riding last weekend and cooled the engine before the parkin in the garage (don't remember for sure but the weather wasn't super wet) and let it be there for a week. Then next weekend went driving but it didn't start didn't mind it then because the weather was bit on freeze (-4c°?) And put it back in garage (it was in not heated garage). Today got it to my warm garage and let it warm up then tried to start it again but with no success. Now I checked the spark and there is not one, so the bike spins the engine normally but doesn't get spark. I have made some measurements and checked the ohms for coil, stator and pulsecoil, I have also tried with new spark plug. Multimeter alsso shows that the spark plug cap and wire should be okay. I didn't find any information about the CDI so is it integrated with ecu or ignition coil and is the ecu a part of spark wiring or only the fuel. So what the problem could be. I have worked with bikes earlier but I got this Husaberg just couple weeks ago and it's my first four stroke so I'm bit dum with it. Also sorry for my bad English . Thanks for help already.

What was the reading of the spark plug cap ? You mentioned it should be ok . The reason I ask is that I have seen 4 of them fail and the symptoms have not all been the same . It should read 5k ohms. One had no spark and would not start one would run only at higher rpm and have back fire issues when it got hot.

I tried to disconnect the kill switch and still didn't start alsso didn't give it any gas to it. The spark plug cap did read about 5k ohms if I remember correct but I will try to start with new one. Also is it possible that the ECU is broken and where is the CDI located or is it integrated with ingnition coil.

Did you check the ignition coil ? What if you connect disconnect it manually, does it spark?
Does the ignition coil get proper signal ?
Anything with return connections corroded?

Ook Peter what do you mean by disconnectin and connecting manually and no the sparkplug doesn't make spar.k I have tried with another sparkplug from another working bike and cut of the from the ends of the sparkplug wire to get fresh wires but still nothing. And according to the wiring diagram the ecu seems to be a part of the ignition system. Is there a way to measure it to be sure the ecu is working correctly.

I have measured everything now and seems like the pulse from ecu coming to the ignition coil seems bit weird, could be because of my cheap *** multimeter but the voltage reading shows zero when I try to start but when I let off the start button the multimeter shows a little peak of voltage.

I measured the battery and it showed 12,20v and when pressed the starter button the battery voltage dropped to 9,36v.
But I have tried to start it quite many times already so.

Okay so I charged the battery and shows bout 14v and when press start it drops to 10-11v so that seems good to me. Alsso the battery has been replaced about 4-5months ago. So I noticed noticed something kinda interesting cuz when I press the start it doesn't give any signal to ignition coil but after I let off the start button it gives a little peak of voltage as I mentioned before, but today I noticed it does it with fuel pump as well so when trying to start no voltage but as soon as I stop pressing the start button it gives a peak of voltage. So could this be the broblem and what is possible reason or failed part that does it.

So do I buy just a new battery and try with that, after charging the battery the starter had power to crank the engine pretty good, didn't sound lazy or anything.

Try jumping off a good battery but the plug should be cleaned it is probably soaked with gas from trying to start .My bike won’t start if battery isn’t strong you can also try jump starting it hit the starter button at the same time as releasing the clutch.

I haven't tried to start it ihave just checked the spark by taking the sparkplug off and then put it to engine to see if there is spark at all and there is not one. So there's really no point to try to start it if it doesn't get spark

after reading the electrical plan, I think that to have a spark it:

1.press start button
2.the starter motor turns the engine
3.the voltage regulator detects the generation of current / voltage
4.a contact that closes in the voltage regulator, a contact that allows current to flow on the black and white wire which is connected to:

- from the ECU (EFI control Unit) (function: signal that the engine is running? / the ECU is starting its electronic management?)
- power relay (function: allow current on fuse F1 F3 F4)

5.the engine starter after injection and spark off, managed by the ECU

-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -----

in first test I would do this:

1 run the engine with the starter and check if there is 12v at the fuse F1 F3 F4

If ok: the power relay and voltage regulator contact is good

2. engine stopped, disconnect the connector from:

- the ECU,
- the power relay or voltage regulator

and check the continuity of the black and white wire between terminal 30 of the ECU and terminal 4 of the voltage regulator or terminal 2 of the power relay
